Hey guys,

Thanks for posting friend, you are doing a good job. Your plants look healthy and happy. What kind of light wattage are you using?

Nice to see the xmas bud still around.
The seeds came out of a bale of weed that I unloaded from a trawler in Port Charlotte as a young man.
Kept them going outdoors for a few years until the afghaan started showing up in the 80's and then didn't mess with them too much until I sent them to ndnguy.
It was called xmas bud cuz it was ready at xmas and had some pine phenos.

Haha awesome! Really hoping i find some pine flavour in one of these.

Had a peek at the tent today and noticed the pink stems starting to come out on both sweet 16s

Been abit lazy lately but heres an update. Set up the 2nd light and started to train them a little bit. Also did a bit of defoliation at the bottom.

DP at the front row.
S16 in the middle row.
Xmas bud at the back row.

Getting abit impatient so might chuck them into flower next week. Let me know your thoughts as i think theyre big enough now. Especially that big Durban P on the front left!

The longer you veg the more the weed and the better the flowers are in the end. I will always veg a plant for at least 60 days or more before flipping for that reason.

Flipped to flower last night.

Looking like 1 of the Xmas Bud 79's is a girl and the other is a male.
Will probably wait a week to make sure before i kill him since i only have one grow tent.

Sweet 16 is an interesting plant even in veg. Sativa-like leaves but grows short like an indica. Interested to see the flowers she grows.

Durban Poison is looking great, CSI Humboldt's DP does not appear to be a landrace sativa and definitely has some indica in her. Im not from the states but I believe this is the american/western Durban Poison version (maybe some skunk in her)

Interesting! Keen to see what sort of smells she brings in flower.

Here's a pic of them all - both xmas buds in the back row, DPs on the right and S16s on the left.

The DP in the middle is the oldest one since I started the rest abit later...some of her leaves are massive!

Bonus Sweet 16 fan leaves.

Unfortunately both xmas buds are actually male. Will be culling them both tonight, so will just be sweet 16 and durban poison.

Suprisingly both xmas buds stank the most in the tent so will be sad to see them go

16 days flower

Durban Poison has started devoloping some budsites. Sweet 16 seems abit slower (mightve been my light height so i lowered them)

Sweet 16 didnt stretch crazy (also cos i topped), but i think it was more how she grew that threw me off.

Nodes were very close together so it grew short and bushy like an indica, but leaves grew lanky and skinny like a sativa.

I really think if i were to grow this strain again, i could really dial it in now that i know how she grows.

Been busy with trim jail and life so havent updated in a bit.

Chopped both at around 67 days (good for the sweet 16 but could have let the durbans go abit more)

Durban Poison plant 1: lemon cleaner vibes and kind of skunky/cat piss at times

Durban Poison plant 2: more earthy/minty

Sweet 16: smells like sweet citrus and abit of bubblegum

Smoke wise, sweet 16 feels like it leans more sativa in effects and i can feel it around the eyes more - overall i personally prefer the durban poison, great clearheaded, happy high - 0 anxiety from me.

Aiming to do another run mid next year with lots of different strains. Merry christmas and happy holidays folks! Off to make some edibles with the dry sift from the trim
