meduser i dont know what your bud was smoking or growing but the brickweed im growing out now isnt anywhere close to schwag. i live in the south and i guess we just get better bricks down here or something. no the plants dont turn all purple and extremely resinous with billions of trichs but thats all gimmicky shit anyway that i dont care about. this strain im growing now looks like they crossed 2-3 different strains, grew out and harvested the F1, and now im growin the F2 with every different trait you can imagine. i have short 6-7 week indicas that is basically a single fat stick of bud, and tall, branchy 12+ week sativas with 60-70+ bud sites, and every combination in between, from only 15 females. a few of them are not very tolerant of heat but thats the only negative trait ive seen, and even so those are still great looking plants. some of the phenos are truly excellent. i'll take genetic diversity, hardiness, and natural evolution over some half-ass breeder's idea of a strain anyday. i grow vertical so i dont care about keeping everything at the same height, i raise or lower the plants according to its individual needs.

toreal, I think your point about demand skyrocketing is a good one. If pot were legal, there probably would be a lot more people smoking it. I didn't think about that.

i've got a rhetorical question. how or why is it possible for some people to grow warehouses full at the same time a young man i know [not a troublemaker of any sort and has a recommendation] had his two plants in a closet under fluorescent lights taken by the local leo. when he showed them his recommendation, they told him to sue them. i'm building a small room, but there won't be anything in it until i know which way the wind blows. i guess i can always dream. i've maintained good stealth and will stay that way. i don't trust politicians and misinformed voters.

My best guess is its going to be an odds game no matter what, but you can raise your luck by being stealth etc. Its a waste of time thinking about it in my opinion, just do what your gonna fuckin do. If its in the cards for you to have negative consequences as a result of growing a plant that God put on earth thats green and has seeds like it says in the bible, then so be it.
