One Way to Tell:
If arjan or barney's has a 'winners' ad in next month's HT,then the cup was definately rigged this year.
Ads must be submitted months in advance,so we'll just see,won't we?

....Kind of like the ordering of 'cannabis cup winner' lighters before the competition,isn't it?

why not just take the HTCC for what it is... a big pot fest... and amsterdam is the only place in the world it can be done the way it is...

only fools would put much stock in the results... so let them...

Greenhouse and Barney's entries are always mediocre, but those guys know how to sell themselves, through gimmicks and whatnot... can't hate them for trying just a little harder, can we now? if another one of those cups is worth hundreds or even thousands in advertising and free drinks than so be it...

can't we all just be content to know that we know better and leave it at that? no need for all the hating...

Okay,I'll enlighten you.

Doc,who seems not a bad guy,has fet/ferret,a/k/a 'muffinman',as head admin over at HardlyGrowing420.blah.
Fet's mislabelling of his shitty hempseeds,just to sell them,combined with his banning me every time I alerted HG folks about scammers (BCBD,pee4pee and HOG,etc.) lead me to one,easy-to-reach conclusion:

'That site isn't worth a flying fuck.'

Doc had a chance: Hecould have bought wholesale from GN,back along,but chose not to.
His bad business call,my beans sell out,every time,to critical praise,worldwide.

What I really want to know is why Rez wont sell his damn sour queens without having to bid for the fuckin' things on seedbay.

Rez: I don't sell anything at Seedbay,personally.
FACT: Those relisted,odd lots of Sour Queen and SuperSilverSourDieselHaze are from Seedbay stock that were unpaid for,or from Gypsy's Personal Seed Collection.
(He always grabs a few that interest him,his collection makes my pale,in comparison!)
ALL my seeds are sold,initially,at Buy-It-Now,and never in an auction (open bidding) format,except for my personal yearly charity event,TRINITY.
So,if anyone wants a specific seedline,they best grab it when it's released and commonly available,because everything I release sells out fairly quickly.
Don't forget,it's ALL small-batch releases,like Booker Noe's bourbons,and when they're gone,they're gone.
Procrastination,when obtaining Reservoir Seeds Limited Release hybrids,is not reccommended.
Seed Boutique's Reservoir Seeds list is also a good place to find beans that Seedbay won't have,that are also in limited supply.

Greenhouse Seeds: for Something unlikely available in seed form,
and because Arjan HAS to have a cup evey year,for something.
(Imo give him an 'HTCC Perpetuity Cup',one that refreshes every year,wether he deserves one,or not,lol!)

DnA: for Because those boys grow super-dank weed,and are sponsoring a very beeeg party.
Judges liiike parties!

Subcool: All the best,but I predict:
Honorable mention,if that....but since his weed wasn't local-grown,imo he doesn't stand much of a chance.


Lessee' how I fare with those predictions....

i gather a few years ago there was a bit of a fuss when they released results BEFORE the 'vote' had been done-

Arjan's Ultra winning the cup does take the biscuit as it was the weed that everyone was giving away-it wasn't shit weed, but it was nothing special either. John Sinclair is great weed, so was the G13xHaze (particularly through a vap), so was the Mean Green and the NL#5xHaze from Rokergji-my fav was Amazing Haze by HG Fantaseeds-not particularly strong but a lovely hit-

Imported Hash-the winners were quite good but there is alot of caramello of a similar standard in town. One of the best imports in town was the Nepalese at 420 which i don't think got entered

Nederhash-it's all about the Parvatti from 420 and the Royal Dolphin, the Waterworks was nice, also the bubblehash at Rezin was excellent-the winner (Barney Rubble) was average.

Yeah-the whole of Amsterdam is slagging of Arjan and Greenhouse but all year people are going to be talking about the doll with the wobbly head-thats why he's done it coz he knows that there is no such thing as bad publicity and he's making plenty dollar

a true story-
a straight looking middle aged Dutch woman walks into the cafe where we are hanging (NES) to buy weed for her sick husband-unprompted she says they used to get weed locally but then it started getting nasty chemicals in it-then she got it from Greenhouse but that started going all chemy so she gets it from other places now-

thing about the cup is if you don't go to any of the events or take the results as anyway meaningful-its a great laugh

How did he know that 'ultra haze' would "be the shit",even way back then????

Funny how he seemingly 'knew' he had a winner,eh?

He also calls it a 'pure sativa',then amends that to "um,80%".
He then continues to call it a pure sativa,(bad editing,lol!) when to even a noob,it's obviously an indi-sat hybrid.
(In fact,it's just a simple,reworked SSH/Neville's Haze,so says arjan-and IMO there's nothing 'ultra' about the plants I saw,just more Haze-brids....)

It seems to me that the whole Cannabis cup thing is more of an advertising event for High Times and the whole Amersterdam cannabis scene. It gets people into the shops, buying weed, seeds, etc. Of course the big shops are going to win every year, im sure they are very close with the whole organization of the event.

Lots of people buy into it at first, but you can't take it serious year after year when you keep seeing the same names winning. Especially when you know there is better stuff around.

Anyone have pictures of the buds? also i can't imagine those hazes to be that bad if they are really racy type highs it's guna affect you more. The buds must be covered in frost and have smells?

Do you think in cali that the strains like Trainwreck and cali GDP that are clone only grown correctly are better when perfect cause i know those definatly have lots of smell and strong highs?

Per Ken, there are no clones, regardless of claims.
This does not take away from "GDP" as a strain that is being called that...
Ken has asked me to mention it.

big buddah cheese is a cheese x afghani hybrid, maybe that's why it's considered either sativa or indica, dunno. still kinda wank that it could be entered in both catagories imo.
