HOW TO , RENTAL GROWS ( without living there )

OR you can end up with a landlord like me who would bust you and then your legs for ruining his property.

People invest a lot of time, energy and cost into buying rental properties. Why don't you invest the same and get your own house you can trash?

I own property here in BC. I grow in my own properties or ones in which the landlord knows and has been greased.

If I busted you growing in my house,, I would take your gear, weed and most of the blood out of your body. I would then find out how much damage you had done and come back every 3 months to collect more money, gear, weed and blood from you. This would go on for a long time.

Destroying peoples hard earned money is pathetic.

It's always nice to have the other sides perspective, huh?

You're fronting too hard. A keyboard warrior like you wouldn't do shit except call the police.

So the problem is not the pest folks or the inspections ,
is the questions from the neigbors .
where are you working ,
are you maried ,
i notice that you are never sleeping here ?
what do you need this house for ??

Believe it or nor all this is questions is from neigbors in previous
rental grows how do you encounter this ?

I have lived in my home for 12 years and can count on two hands at most the number of times I have spoken to my neighbours. I just give em a wave every now and then. Keep the place tidy, pay the bills & don't invite trouble and you'll be fine. Remember a liar needs a damn good memory, so if you have to lie to the neighbours be sure to remember what you had told them. Best to just avoid them if you can, don't go out of your way to introduce yourself or engage in regular discussion; don't be an arsehole though.

Growing here :gday: in a rental house is difficult as most land lords will want a 3 month inspection; one of the easiest ways to overcome this is to pay 6 months rent in advance (if you have the means). 3m x 3m is a pretty standard bedroom size here and is not that big a grow. I would just use a tent with a little space around the edges to move around it if required and probably pop all the res etc in a built in robe or closet.

The perfect scenario in your case would be a master bedroom and en-suite as it would have all the supply water and drainage ready to go.

Don't be afraid to run hydro, in my mind there is more that can go wrong in a soil grow.

If you are going to be away for extended periods then you will need very large reservoirs I would go with at least 200 litres, more if you had the room.

Try and build a little redundancy into the system also; I would run two pumps on the res lines, and use larger centrifugal pumps that are designed to run constantly. Pop each on a different circuit if you can, and if at all possible run one of the three lights on a different circuit. If you are running DWC do the same with air pumps. Pop an in-line filter on both sides of the pumps to keep any solids out.

Automate as mentioned in other posts.

Enter and exit via the garage and never answer the door.

If you did that, anyone with half a brain would sue your stupid ass and eventually take ownership of your crappy real estate investment investment properties.

Here is ONE room in a property I own. 6 more bloom rooms the same size. 420 lights.

You wouldn't sue shit.

Ok just a fat rude American but. RE fuckin model. Let ur neighbors see you fixing up the place for profit. The whole time your room is doin its thing. If you can't fool an inspector? Well just buyin stuff is easier. Good Luck

At $300k for a below average house, buying in these parts just to grow doesn't make a lot of sense. I personally don't recommend growing in a rental here, but it is done and regularly.

Chill out my friend , we are talking about Europe wich is far away from your property.
And we are not talking for a commercial grow , we are not going to throw 20-30 or even 10
thousand watts in there it is a small grow with 4*600 to treat me and my friends and
i am not going to destroy anyones property cause it is not my style.

In Europe most of the houses are made from concrete and small or even larger
grows not affecting the property , but we rent cause our wifes throw the grows out of our houses cuase they are illegal.
Yes i will agree with you , for someone that want to grow commercially
his best option is to buy a house and make it safe too.

As you can see your post is pointless at least in my case.
But as an advise , take care cause i think that you are very agressive
and maybe someone someday may take all your blood out you body if you push him enough ,
Cheers

Sounds true...

Not really heard much solid advise in the thread past the first page - automate ur arse to death, pay the bills, etc.

But how to select a good landlord.... this is NOT covered.

and no, greasing his slimy palm is not an option. that's just horseshit; I don't want to operate on that level. Lets say 2-4kw flowering, something that again can disappear into a single 8x8 or 10x10 room.

for those interested in growing in a rental, you may want to read my signature.

Dont look at the selling price, look at the monthly payments.

best landlords are ones with lots of properties, usually in a college town.

they expect you to live there 1-4 years tops and hope to hear as little complaining as possible.

all their units should be slummy and the less they hear from you the happier they will be.

if you can find an apartment on top of the laundry room or right next to it you are golden

Indeed this the problem , but 11 cops raiding your house
and humilate you with handcuffs in your neighborhood while your
5 year old daughter crying .....for 400 Watt / 4 plants grow is the big picture.

I think it's a better idea, then, for you to get a local buddy of yours who is single to start growing, and fund it for him. If you are really trying to protect your family then you shouldn't be doing it yourself at all, whether it is at home or not, they will be coming to you at home if you fuck up and they are after you, right? It seems like so much EXTRA risk.

Whats the best way to ventilate a large tent, without having to cut holes in walls or make any major renovations?

S-O,

If the window to the room is inaccessible and won't draw attention you can vent straight out the window (through a carbon filter of course) and draw the intake in from another area of the house of even the room the room the tent occupies.
