how to ID undercover Leo cars

Nice info but if LEO is following you or staking U out then you better be worried about clean-up. Too late if rolling already with tails following you. Already messed up somewhere...

Although I guess if you show up somewhere they are staking out it would be useful or if followed from said above location. :rasta:

axctually the full bench seat you see in the civilian models are because that person picked that seat becasue the 60-40 spllit front independant seats are an option on all crown vic's, early 90's impala's & caprices's.

it called the 60-40 front seat option any body can get it civilian or pig, just that the pigs get huge discounts when buying new cars from dealerships (usually the citty negotiates a contract with a local chevy or ford mega dealer.

my aunt is ingaged to marry a local cop in my town (we's a really cool dude, if he found less than a ounce hed just dump it out and let you go with a little warning or at worst a non moving violation traffic ticket, now guns involved it different story wed bust your ass in a minute, but he dont fuck with personal smokers and arrest them for theri stash, even would let a junky go with his only bag of dope so the guy won't get sick. super large amounts heas gon bust ya but he is one of them cops who take the extra step so people dont hate him) any

any way they just bought brand new black and whites with the big old "ram the shit out of you" mounted to the angle iron reinforced bumper mounts.

he said that they got each car for 15,000 buck give or take a little.

i could go to a dealership right now and buy the exact model of vehicle from the dealership. it will have the "interceptor package" ( 5.7 liter engine, but different heads than the standard 5.7 liter, the tranny has different gear ratios than the non interceptors, and also the rear end is geared differently thatn the non interceptor package.) i think this package is like half the price of the base model added to the whole cost of the car, thats why you dont see many people getting them right off the lot instead they wait till the pigs put 200.000 miles on em and buy them for under 2,000 buck.

but the front seat think can be chosen as an option in any of ford or mercury's grand marquise's or crown vics. just specify what type of seat you want bench or 60-40 split

i think if you were to buy the "mercury maurauder" its like the grand marquise on roids. all blacked out with factory chrome 17" or 18" aluminium wheels.

and it has the special engine with the different heads. (like the difference of the 5.7 liter motor gm puts in the caprice wagons and the 5.7 liter they put in vets, the only difference in the actual motors to make the vet faster they put "202" HEADS on the vets 5.7 and leave the 180's on the wagons)

if you buy the interceptor package and you are not a cop the only thing is that it will only say interceptor under the taillights instead of police interceptor. cause you interceptor can not be purchased of the dealer with the cb systems and all that jazz, all you could get is the exact same powertrain that the cops do. and you wont get that cool spotlight either.lol from the dealer brand new is what im talking about.

I see plenty of cabs in chicago that say police interceptor on the trunk; in fact i'd say that half of all cabs in the city have the police interceptor symbol. Not just interceptor, but police interceptor. I'll take your word for it and assume it means that the engine is more powerful, and has a spotlight. I don't think i've ever seen a cab use its spotlight, but I do think they have one. Maybe it's disabled?
I'm guessing that no one makes a fuss over whether it says police interceptor because the cab is quite obviously not a cop car. And I don't think i've ever seen an undercover cop car here disguised as a cab, like the ones in new york city. Which is not to mean that chicago popo doesn't have covert cars that look like cabs or other civilian vehicles, i'm sure they do, but i dont think it's as common here as it is in nyc... :rasta:

heres a lil tip. i never drive up to my house. i live on bus route and walk. no car to follow for leo.

i agree its pointless to watch them, but a heads up is never bad. also the faces of those 8 leo are burned into my brain, so no matter what they drive i gottem. instead of pix of cars. get pix of drivers and all passengers.

The right-angled brake lights (the ones right next to the license plate) is something that was observed in the South. On a country road, it became very easy to spot a cop from miles away by his tail lights/head lights.

In NYC, there is a fleet of undercover police cars which look light yellow cabs. They wear plain clothes.

These taxis are actually fairly easy to spot by a local (especially those who pay attention to the details).

(Hello copper )

Look at the medallion number. (Those are the four digits in the rooflight that are used to identify one cab from another.) If the first two digits are 6Y or 2W, it's a police car. Then there's the license plate. Real cabs have the four-digit medallion number there, too. Another thing is the black molding strip running across the doors. The Ford Crown Vic taxis that are in service today have a yellow strip, not black.

When there isnt one mention of diff tail lights on any modification websites of the p71 interceptor compared to the civy model and not one picture to back up the difference Im thinking it isnt so.

Most cabs are used retired police interceptors from auctions.

That's the typical life of a PI Crown Vic, it starts as a police car, and then goes to auction, sold to a cab driver, and driven into the ground etc.

what is the deal with unmarked cars and being pulled over? i thought in some states unmarked vehicles cant pull you over. i remember watching some specials on serial killers who drove around in unmarked cars then impersonated cops and 'arrested' people then murdered them.

your right. i get fooled by the lights of a crown civ, mercury marcke (sp?), and cops. nothing like being all paranoid to realize thoes headlights were from an old guy.... tailights too.

As they do use anything, the answer is quite simple:

Pay attention.

"Spotting one"?....who says it's for you?.......

You spot the same one 10 times throughout a 20hr period.......well, then you have company :smoke:......which can only be done by:

Paying attention..............paying attention to the word around one at all times.........which is never a bad idea on several levels....

And what if you do spot one?......then what?....their investigation is far from foiled........

Has one adhered to all security protocol or would even a cease and teardown make little difference since they already have everything they need anyway....(on conspiracies into organizations, larger organizations, they can come up empty on searches but damage already done and case made through sales, recording, videos, etc...........)

You have 4 controlled buys?.........you think it makes a difference whether they turn up anything on the raid?....4 counts, documented. Done.

Personal vehicles not uncommon also, so, there is no other answer but paying attention....

Not only do you have to watch for the cars(only when driving) but you have to watch out who you contact. One of the most hectic people I've ever met who carried around a duffel bag of 10-20 different strains at all times turned out to be deep undercover. He ended up organizing multiple stings on some unlucky folk in the same day. Which made an entire area dry for a summer. I smoked with him but luckily he didn't ever find out my real name. He was completely normal in every way and the average looking stoner. I always wondered how he drove around all day without getting arrested or pulled over. This was the reason. Be careful who you chill with and don't let anyone know anything real about you. Get a small group of trusted friends that go way back. Only smoke with them or yourself. Nobody else is worth it.

Any car can be used undercover. From panel vans to shitty camrys. Camaros, Mustangs, Crown Vic's, I've even once seen a jalopy station wagon used. Just notice what the driver is doing especially if they're just outside your place reading a newspaper or watching as you walk by. Make eye contact with them and let them know you have nothing to fear. Keep all your stuff away from your residence.

SC

my cousin used to drive a police interceptor cab in NYC and hes no cop...

cab depots go buy used cop cars and paint em yellow... where else you going to find a car thats worth a shit for under 3k???

i herd now they get laws wher taxis have to be hybird... but idno .. havnt been to NYC since 911..

(ps)911 was caused by the american government, not a bunch of ignorant terrorists from sand caves. but is sure is a sweet scapegoat!

Reverse stings utilized 100 times more than in past...(easier to sell to someone then to try and buy from them.......people tend not to associate it and suspect it on a purchase, and, and, a lot easier role for them to play, as focus shifts from their credibility to their price and product....

If you ask me, a hell of a lot easier to identify than buyers........imo...
