How do you figure?

hate is really hurt in a different package and has a concern

hate means that you have some investment in the interaction and that you actually care what the other person is saying

love is caring be in a positive or negative way (just like ITG said) while apathy is total indifference

if I insult you and you react in a hateful manner it means I've touched some truth and gotten to you...if it doesn't affect you it means there is no truth to what I've said

I'm going on a tangent but when I was a kid me and a buddy would walk down the street with loaded shotguns on the way to open fields to target shoot and hunt rabbit...if we did that today people would totally freak. Like the song says, its not just a different time but a different world we live in.

the answer to the OP's question is in the same as the martial arts, take the hater's energy and use it to your advantage

when people hate me I stand there and absorb the energy and then use it constructively

I have no time to waste on haters. I put them into the drawer. They do not come out unless I want to speak to them. If all they want to do is bark at you back into the drawer until they can speak like a adult. I dont need anymore stress. Lifes to short to waste more time with asshats..

Might be something to that since my haters are pretty minor all things considered but anyone reading this thread that pushes any weight of note will understand that you can't just do that on a whim. Doesn't work that way! I know most discussions on IC that revolve around sales and the BUSINESS side of this...well business....are frowned upon. So I won't turn it into that.

Something that the love/hate post before brought up is that Im too negative when it comes to haters and I let them get to me instead of embracing the LOVE that I get, which is always a lot more than the hate, while shaking the hate off like water off a duck. When a patient thanks me for my work I appreciate it but a hater sticks in my brain more. Thing is, I receive much more love than hate. My stepdad told me "one oh shit erases 100 atta boys". He was right. The negativity is harder for me to forget than the love. I should pay attention to the love from my fibro and migraine sufferers and less from the petty haters.

do what you have to do to keep moving forward but consider that in a pinch those haters might turn into worse.

Undoubtedly the hated on. If everyone constantly told you how great you were then its unlikely you would strive to improve. On the other hand when someone hates on you, it inspires to go further and improve.
