How to germinate your beans

We still use 'the Growdoc method'... mainly because it is the best way to test a seed line :canabis:

This method of germination works with a 95-99% viability rate over 100 viable seeds:

1. Get some viable seeds.
2. Place seeds onto damp soil/coco (20c approx).
3. Cover said seeds and wait for them to grow.
4. Remove cover.

I completely agree with this method, I have used it 3 times in the past week and seen 100%, 100% and 70% on the first try, all runs of 10 seeds.
Tried all the other mentioned methods here and Growdoc's method is superior to them all. I used an old chinese food container with a clear lid.
I like germinating in the furnace room in canada it is consistantly warm and gives off some co2 ie 5% increase in fem's

I drop my seeds into an inch of warm tap water in a plastic container with a lid. Place container over a heating mat and cover with a towel. Has never failed me. As soon as the seed opens up and a tiny little bit of white starts showing I put them into rapid rooters, rockwool plugs or into the soil.

heat will speed up germination but also speed up unwanted processes like mold formation, rotting etc. in the 70's is good, i wouldnt want to go much over 80 - and remember that very high heat will kill your seeds.

Thanks for the reply.
I'm wondering what would be considered very high heat for a seed?
Regardless 2 showed, 2 tba, so the heat or length of exposure were not enough to claim the tuff ones.
