How to germinate your beans

No just drip water on to it every so often (the shell) and it will fall of itself dont touch it or try and remove by hand it WILL fall off 2-3 days max.
I just dont understand this myth that you should soak seeds and put them in paper towels as its complete bullshit and not required. Just plant them and let nature take its course and i keep mine in darkness untill they sprout from the soil as thats the indicator that they need light. No light untill the seed/s sprout for me but i dont really matter as the light cant penetrate the soil so the seed/s are still in darkness untill the pop from the soils surface. Whats the big deal with sowing seeds ???????.
Just plant them for the lowest risk of complications and less hassle just like natures way.

My school of thought...... I think the people that most advocate just putting the seed in the soil tend to have a lot more friggin seeds than most home growers. So you get home growers with 10 seeds they paid $150 for and they want to make sure every step of they way, they hold it's hand or at least want to give it the absolute best chances.
I always used the paper towel method, water soak etc and worked fine.... now I have a bunch of seeds and start them straight into soil without touching them again. They pop in about the same amount of time. So straight to soil is easier and if it doesn't sprout I have more beans.... but if I only have 10 I want to see tails in paper towels before I waste a cup on it.

Here is a great method.
-put soil in cup
-make hole with finger in middle of cup
-put seed in
-cover with more soil
-water
-wait a couple days.
The paper towel method may work, but its too much crap.. And I know the majority of you use your fingers when replanting it.
It's just better to plant it in soil.. Unless you are working a strain that is known to not germ well..

i always start my seed in rapid rooters.. just drop em in and bam they grow..easy and i get great germ rates
Perfect and quick. Why people insist on towels and soaking seeds is beyond me but maybe thats old school but what you say is the safest/cleanest/quickest foolproof and hassle free method you can ever adopt to ensure a good germ rate. I get 100% germ everytime just sowing the seeds so why fuck it up with the extra hassle ???.

Yes jiffy/peat pellets are also exellent using a propogator with a humidity dome.

I was white wash clothe sort of guy. But here lately I used rapid rooter with very good results. This seed popping I've soaked 24 hrs then put them in one of those tomato seed starter kits with the pucks water and they get bigger. I'll let y'll know how they workout.

1. Get: Freezer bag, growdan cubes (or rockwool), and a space where it can get light but not quite.
2. Soak growdan/rockwool.
3. Sow seeds and insert to freezer bag.
4. Close but leave freezer bag slightly open at end.
5. Throw in grow room somewhere it can get indirect light.

growing cannabis is kind of like cooking, there is more than one way to cook a roast. That being said, the same methods that you laugh at, are the methods that work for many. 1 thinks it ludacris that you would be so outspoken about puttin the seeds directly in soil. You may laugh at people that put them in paper towels, but 1 laugh at arrogant know it all's that insist their way is the only right way. Your as bad as a snake oil salesman
When using the soil method, what happens when by the second day your soil has dried out. Should you re water?? This is my second grow and I am a big fan of the paper towel method but sometimes even then I transplant and the soil drys out, so I rewater, some seeds then thrive while others die. I just want to get 95-100% of my seeds to become plants and not have to worry so much.

The reality of the situation is that we're just very aware of the dangers of handling a live sprouted seed and do what it takes to avoid that.
Best results no matter what the strain is
Scarify
Soak 12 hours
Pop into moist soil or rockwool
Keep in 75F temps 24/7
Keep 85%+ humidity (plastic wrap over top of cup or clone dome works fine)
You'll have sprouts within 18hrs for most strains, a week for even the hardest, longest sprouting strains. As long as the seed is viable... you're going to have success.
Once the hull drops off you can dramatically lower the humidity to your normal veg room humidity, over a 12-24hr period, and the seedling won't wilt.
I recommend this method for old and damaged seeds as well as expensive strains and bagseed because it offers the maximum chance for survival possible.
