Budley-

I see tha same thing with my set-up. The light just doen't cover that much area.
My solution was to just have more fixtures. I wish I got the 600 watt bulbs to help with this.

Pico-

Those plants look tasty. What's ya strain, man.
Watts the watts ?

I am kinda pushing the limits on wattage vs. square footage. I built a plywood box 5' tall 5.5' long and 3' deep. Then I installed a 1000w HPS in a cooltube with no reflector. Since the insides of the box have been painted flat white, there is no need for a reflector. It is bright as hell in there. Due to the height constraints, I have set up a SCROG to keep my ladies a bit further from the light. Actually, I LST during veg to get very wide plants and when they are ready I will carefully place the plants under the screen and hand weave the branches into the screen to flower. I have some bleaching directly under the light, but it is minor and causes no problems. A 600cfm inline fan keeps temps at 75-80 degrees when ambient temp is 72.
So, yes, it can be done. Check out my gallery for more pics and feel free to ask any questions you may have.

Plywood cab.

Plywood cab with door open.

Inline fan 600cfm.

1000w HPS in cooltube.

LST'd plants put in cab and strung through screen. Flower day 0.

Same girls 52 days later.

Hope this helps.

So you weave the plants into screen. I just did this last night on mine. Looks cool as hell. Alot of work. I started w/40 seeds on a sativa. And lights only 400 watts. So I had to scrog after pulling males. The plants are pretty tuff.

Hey Guys

Budley
- Wow excellent info again...its been so hard to find info an smaller grows done with a 1000w....
I was thinking about the same thing....could i not rotate them ...that would become tedious and dangerous after awhile i imagine...
How do u have ur grow set up? any pics at all by any chance...
what woudl u do in my case...i dont have the money nor the eletrical skills to construct a light mover or may be i do???? :chin:

Chilly Willy: I like to veg my girls without scrogging. It just makes plant maintenance, watering, trimming and training so much easier. It is a pain in the ass to weave the branches into the screen, but it does make it easier to control where the plants grow.

JP: Thanks for the compliment. Hope your grow goes as well.

what about doin a vertical SCROG with the bulb in a cooltube inside of a tube of scroging screen. this has been proven to be effective with spaller lights, and I would think the only thing you would need to do to adapt it to a bigger light is make sure the screen is between 2 and 3 feet from the tube all around, so an overall diameter of 4-6 feet. Your yields would probably be really high if done right

Hey Guys

Chilly Willy - hahaha just might have too ....

Ncongneato - Thanks alot man appreciate the good words

Irish - Very intresting man....seems like a good idea worth doing and researching....but im still a little a foggy to how this is different than a normal scrog...think u could explain bit more...sorry bit slow :)
Thanks for the ideas an hope to here back from u soon
