How to adapt a 30 amp timer box?

HEY WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T RUN A NEUTRAL!!!!
The neutral is only for appliances that run a display or some other function at 120. Then there is a hot wire, a neutral (which actually carries current) and the ground for safety. On a 240v there is no need for a neutral cause the two hot wires are out of phase meaning one is returning current while the other is bringing it, then they flip (that is where hz comes into play). If you are running to a subpanel this could actually be dangerous as the neutral and ground are on seperate buses and the neutral bus is hot. The only time the neutral and ground should meet is at the main box.
Don't burn your house down and if you don't understand electricity, DON'T FUCK WITH IT. It is not worth it.

The electrical code states the neutral and ground to be bonded at the service entrance equipment only. The neutral is a current carrying conductor and the ground is not, bonding them past the service entrance is foolhardy. What was the reason for running a neutral in your system anyway?Edit O sorry you have a 4 wire circuit. You dont need a neutral just wirenut it off and dont use it.I recommend Intermatic WH40 little gray box hot water heater timer for 240 lighting circuits. The T-104 has no external on-off lever for quick disconnect
