How I pheno hunt

Harvested the #5 last night.
I also called the hydro shop to see if they had sts or cs. He told me I can find cs at a health food store so I picked up some 500 ppm.

Now I am wondering if I can just dilute this with tap water to make it 250 ppm.

A friend just came back from visiting family in Jamaica and you all ready know what came back with him.

2 different varieties with a description of each of the flowers... and some blurry pics.

I gave some of that bag sour f2 #3 to a friend. He said Yo this shit smells like chicken, what did you keep it in the kitchen"?

At least now I know I am not crazy and her sister the "soul food" lives up to its name. This one is OK but the real keeper is #7. It has the same meaty smell which is a combination of onion, garlic and salty but with a soury back end and a sweet taste. Was a little louder and more meaty smelling, but the swell on #7 makes it able to hold up way better after drying than the 3

So now I have these Jamaican beans but I can only pop them 10 at a time. The first ones I started soaking are starting to crack at the seams, so they are deffo viable.

I still have about 30 left, so I sent out a few messages to some buddies for some help.

Based on the information I was given, one of the varieties seeds were way darker than the others. So I tried to separate them based on the darkness of the seeds. I took the 10 darkest ones and those are the ones I dropped a few days ago. Out of those 10 only 1 split the shell. I put it in some toilet paper in a baggie and left the others soaking.

Still nothing from those so I will give them another day in the water, but I dropped the next 10 lighter colored ones already.

Jamaican beans look like just the 4 from that batch of ten will make it. Still have about 13 or so left but they must wait a sec. I will prolly just give them to my buddy when he picks up the soul food and mr nice.

I thought I was bugging out but, yep it's a tri foliate.
These are like my version of a 4 leaf clover. My good luck charm. The last plot that had one led to the soul food.

The first 2 (chem 91 x wookie)s cracked and have small tails from 12 hours soaking. I don't think I have ever germinated such small seeds before.

So I ran them all a few times and...

#5 is my selection.

She was the frostiest and fastest flowering but didnt yield as well as her sisters.

I personally enjoyed the #1 for its effects and #3 for the coffee smell terps, but they both were culled. Overall those traits just werent stand out enough for me to run #1 or #3 over any of the current moms.

The #5 tho is deffo one of the fastest guns on the east tho.

Oooeee. Looking frosty - going grab a seat if you don't mind. I don't know all that much about beans and pheno hunting but i got my first pack of seeds. Grabbed some headband, and wanna learn some more about breeding and growing from seed in general.
