I was going to go with NorthernFarmer's stadium, but this is an inspiration in itself!

I'd love to see how those racks work, I can't seem to put it together myself based on the photos provided and what was explained. I'll definitely be doing this in my next place!

Sorry i have not updated this thread in awhile. I have had problems with my new cam...only 40 pictures taken!@ The battery is messed up i think but i have pictures of weed on the internal memory which makes it difficult for me to go get it fixed. I will borrow my friends camera to do the update. Iam chopping it down in a few days so i will get the pics up before then.

Peace
Koot.

yea i want to know plants and anticipated yield. Try to see what advantage aside from areas. Is the yield worth hassle in your opinion. You should pull 6-8 lb off each 3000 set of light are you close?

I think he said he's pulling a total of 10 pounds, 5 from each vertical room. My memory might be a little hazy but I think that's what he said he was getting.

Trying vertical with hash plant would be nice, hash plant was said to be the best yielder in the stadium setups, I bet they'd do even better vertical!

nice garden!

can be done w/ out individual pots.

just use rectangular-type garbage can. kind they use underneath counter top in bars/restaurants. 28-32+ gallons.

or, stack 18 gallon totes - w/ holes cut out/drilled in sides.

4-8 cans, arranged in square/hexagonal/octagonal shape.

drill holes in sides of cans. insert media/misters. insert plants into holes.

can drill single hole into bottom of totes/garbage can for hempy-type drainage, plumb to recirc res, or sit in res/kiddie pool/pond liner bed.

either way, only have to water/feed from top - not multiple indv. containers. also, no wood work/metal racks required. just holes in big garbage can.

hope this helps. enjoy your garden!

Iam going to continue this thread with the next round to make it up to you guys. iam pissed my new cam konked out but i think this next round will be very impressive.

Hey koot would you mind if I ask what height you flower and what size containers you used? Looks like 2 gallon but I can't be sure. Also how tall did you make your shelves? It would really help as this setup is perfect for soil grows really. Tks!

That's fuckin awesome Koot.
I recall chattin with ya a couple yrs back about vert...CW or h g 4 2 0 maybe??? Can't recall. Don't recall my old user names either. I just got back online recently.
How enlightening was that eh?

Enjoy the handwatering ;) ...been there, so over it!

A few questions for thought and comments.

how would you use CO2 efficiently with this type of vertical setup?

Would you build a room around the vertical cylinders in order to control the smell with fans and carbon filters?

How would you make the cylinders light proof (or at least mostly)?

What if you used some irrigation tubing to water like you would with some coco coir

I love the idea of shelves on rollers, so if the plants get a little too large you can just move them back a bit. Cool - thanks for the great new ideas! I would use two to three 1000 watt HPS.
