"beg her to take you back"? anyone that would see you homeless at this time of year deserves nothing but your absolute contempt.

just to be clear CoCos..I was not suggesting for one second that he should do that, I was just struck by what an utterly foolish suggestion that it was and felt like commenting on that.

Keep your head up and try and stay as clean and healthy as possible, sucks to say but a lot of opportunities will dry up quick if you start looking and spreading that needy helpless vibe.

Not sure your age occupation or family/friend scenario but you gotta decide quick what way you wanna play it, because having a record can affect your whole future but unless you got some hussle and some contacts, you either going to have to get aggressive on the bringing your life out of the proverbial dumpster of legit life, work your credit and banks first for the obvious reason of staying clean and healthy so you can then work social assistance, grants, schooling job opportunity ect... But you gotta do it up, don't be looking like a dope smoking skid waiting for a handout while you play video games that shit won't fly, lol.

Other side is if you already used up your credit and most people think you might be a general waste of their time, then maybe making some calculated risk might be good with a worst case scenario of a nice warm cell to occupy...do you have contacts in the under side at all? Can you get a phone to run? Are there summer houses you could squat in?

No one likes to say it but there's always a lot of options and I don't know you so no judgment but it takes a bit to get here to( I've been there) but dude get pro-active and fuckin hussle.

Round here when it goes to shit you can always plant an outdoor crop but ya gotta survive and have some cash to work.... Use paper and a pen draw a friggin map... Where I am... Where I want to be... Then fill in the steps of what your willing to do do get there...

I'm lucky now, if the wife gives me the boot, I got a few unmanned shows I could crash at, not the most comfortable but they stay warm..

Shits probably a bit tighter in the UK but if your not a totall heat bag useless blowhard, you could probably head round some grow shops and the forums and genuinely ask for work and opportunity... I know the guys here all want hard workers and will give people a shot, just most people are not cut out for it... Worth a shot IMO..

If you have no skills and bad attitude/work ethic jail is great, seriously. Some people like the structure and whatever, people working jobs instead of carreers are wasting time anyways. Only a draw back if your not banking $ or making power moves... Might as well be eating and lifting weights making contacts and getting a plan together.

amazing how many people just living with no plan and no actual plan for the consequences of their actions.... Better off than the guy who was surprised he got arrested growing in illegal state because " he never sold a single flower" maybe should have acknowlaged his actions and sold some "flowers" for a lawyer retainer...

Just re read your post... 25 years that's hard bud sorry I thought you where a young un for a minute....

I would roll hard on the credit/ bank front and try n get 4 months living supplies together and rent the most dilapidated slumlord shack I could and light it the fuck up! unless you feel like your skills are leading you to something, you must be on here for a reason and well no time like the present you got some gear..

Good luck and hope the shift in direction bring light to your life instead of darkness...and honestly Christmas is the best time to be in your position, lots of community support for the financially challenged, and great time also to re connect with friends and family and actually get support.

Depends where you go to jail. Some jails are really nice.

I didn't know you were in a fucked up situation s.p. that sucks. I'm glad to hear your skills are keeping a roof over your head. People don't realize the things we can do with our skills. Living the way you are now sucks but at least you are living

Churches, Mosques too. Some places(normally related to churches) offer rooms to rent and help with finding jobs, normally wont charge you the first 2weeks or whatever until you start working. Best bet is to find a relative or old friend that will take you in for a short while you get on your own.

Or you could say fuck everyone and hump it in the street with a pillow of concrete. Bed/covers made of 'clean' trash bags/plastic sheets, cardboard or whatever. Sometimes you find interesting stuff in the trash(money, jewelery, clothes, drugs, whatever![this includes baby shit, dead pets and so on). A large city would be ideal. You'll eventually find some other bums that might give you pointers or take you in under their wing but dont rely on them heavily.

Move fast, travel light. Keep what you can carry, hopefully you have a backpack or something small enough to carry and big enough to hold your essentials. Stay away from bum towns, hard to find some where to take a piss when there are businesses constantly being traversed by bums/thieves.
Plus there is a good chance of being robbed or haven your stuff stolen while you sleep.

Hope you like walking. Think of it as some survival tv show, urban style.

Vonbudi had a good idea about the gym membership. when I was between houses I had an old car so that helped as far as a place, plus had to make money with the car doing delivery's and odd jobs. Winters were rougher, headed to warmer areas usually. Always had to have a shower to wake up and try not to look homefree. Most of the time I would be able to get a shower at a college gym by just walking in and acting like I was a student there.

Hey Icmag what would you do if you were homeless at Xmas.

Long story short.me & my partner of 25 years are splitting up.

So this Xmas i will be on the streets.with nothing more than a bivi
Bag & sleeping bag...

Well if the weather allowed me to be comfortable and I had no other options then I would live outdoors. If that was intolerable then I would find a shelter if need be and stay there until my situation improved enough to provide me with better options.

I'm sorry to hear you are having to go thru this at a time of year that is supposed to be joyous but everyone has to play the hand life deals them. If living in the woods is your only viable choice then check out shows like the one below, while you still have access to the internet. They often have good tips on how to make that situation better. For example you can make the spot you sleep in better by making a comfortable bed out of branches from a pine tree. You don't have to sleep on the cold hard ground. Not only would a bed be more comfortable but it would also provide some insulation.

Remember that we are one of the few industries where an individual can generate very large profit margins. Please consider helping your fellow human beings out. Homelessness is a lot closer than most of us realize, and it's not a hole that is easy to climb out of.
