Hydrocelectomy is the removal of a cyst inside your ball bag! Mine had been there for about 12 years and was small and not an issue. 5 months ago it grow extremely quickly to the size of a big lemon and did, as I'm sure you can imagine, curtail my style a somewhat. It's now gone, but it feels like I've been kicked by a horse and I have bruising and swelling that would suggest that too.
My backs pretty good, what with the Yoga and the Tai Chi :)

I get my wife to check mine daily her hands are softer than mine ha ha.
My son in law had a bad case of lovers balls that wouldn't go away so my daughter took him to hospital.
It is a teaching hospital so the cases are seen by up to half a dozen male and female interns as well as the experienced specialist and they discuss the case while they examine you.
The poor bastard had to shit in front of them and then had him auto ejaculate in front of them to help them diagnose the problem ha ha.

They discharged him after 24 hrs of hell and he was booked for a colonoscopy the following week.
Its been 3 weeks now and he has managed to miss every appointment they have made for him ha ha.
Seems the testicles got twisted and swelled up, he is fine now but shit scared to go back again ha ha.

Hopefully it's nothing and won't be an issue but best to check it out, better safe than sorry.

@Tangwena , thankfully not quite as embarrassing as that, but still embarrassing. Thankfully I've bee a nude sunbather all my life, so being naked in front of others is not an issue.
We do live in a very large village; My wife tells me that when she's out shopping etc, she's forever being stopped by both Spanish and English to enquire "How's Hombre's balls?".

Well hello again, so soon! It's only been 6 days since my last update but I've been out again with the big scissors!

Also, since my last update I developed an infection in my wound and am consequently taking large doses of antibiotics; Lovely!

So the weather continues, but most day's stays below 40c; we're lucky compared to some. Not of a lot of fun sleeping when your bedroom is 28-30c! Don't get me wrong, I love the life and adept the best I can to the heat. The rest of the year is lovely!

So, to the girls.

As we enter the garden, the first we find is the Zacateca Tribute.

S6000457.JPG

She seems to have recovered really well from her last "Haircut", has put up new growth and appears to be stretching.
S6000458.JPG
S6000459.JPG

And here she is again, after yet another big haircut.
S6000479.JPG

She looks a bit of a mess, but in 2 days she'll look ok (I reckon) and in an another week or so, you'll not be able to tell. I wouldn't normally prune (top) my plants so much, I'd be out there weaving and training them to keep them even an growing close to the ground; My recent operation has put paid to that for the time being.
Hopefully the plant will respond by not stretching so much, because it's putting it's energy into growing new tops; we'll see. It's a technique I used indoors sometimes; Obviously it's much easier to do with a known plant and being able to switch to 12/12 when you choose; I'm looking at the plants and guessing! Hopefully this will be the last time for her.
I'm not too worried, the plant appears really happy and is growing strongly , so should bounce back and produce a good harvest.

A little further down the garden we find The Golden Tiger.

!Walk slowly, It's getting hot now!

S6000460.JPG

She gets a little shade at this time of day but only for a hour or so before it's back to full on. We're currently experiencing UV 10 and the girls seem to love it. Last year I was later applying mulch to my plants. This year I applied it much earlier and deeper and I've experienced no signs of heat stress. I'm learning every grow! I've also hardly used any feed at all in comparison to last year; Just some guano tea once and some tea made from grass clippings, also once.
S6000461.JPG

S6000462.JPG

She's had a good haircut also!

S6000480.JPG

Moving to our left we find the Mulanje x Malawi/Ethiopian, and yes you've guessed it, She's run away again and also needs bringing down in height.
S6000463.JPG

S6000464.JPG

S6000465.JPG

I think this last shot gives you a good sense of how much she's grown. You can some of the stem where it was cut only 10 days ago.

And after the topping.
S6000481.JPG

I know it looks severe, but I'm pretty sure she'll bounce back without problems.

And if we just look up a little from where we're standing, we can see my neighbours land. It's absolutely dry other than the irrigation around the base of his trees.
S6000466.JPG

Thankfully we've had no fires to talk off locally. This time of year, it's always a worry.

Ouch, I feel for you mate. We laugh and joke about our bollocks but it's o laughing matter when your going through bollock pain. Thankfully, I'm fully medicated most of the time with super strong cobs.

Once my antibiotics are over I'll be making sure I eat lots of live foods and also get some probiotic drinks

Last of the girls is the OHaze as reproduced by star crash a while back. I had 4 to choose from and eventually went with #4

These took for ever to show their sex!.

And here she is in her new home.

I love the languid 11 fingered leaves.

And here she is again after I've seriously assaulted her.

On the last shot you can easily see the wire hoops that I use to keep her close to the ground.

Diggin your hoop hold downs Bud! I used some chain link fence tension wire and a block with some pins to bend them quickly and easily as possible. Stuff is pretty High carbon.

They look so good 😍 they are growing very quickly. Which one do you expect to start flowering first? Be careful with the weed, heat and antibiotics friend, don't overdo it as a lot of antibiotics will make you more sensitive to heat/sunlight.

Thank you so much for the update and the beautiful pictures Hombre! :canabis:

My prayers for your healing from the recent infection, and a quick and full recovery. And for yours too, @Calle Minogue !

Your garden and the light on your mountain is so amazing. It is like those leaves would almost glow green even in the dark!

To me it is almost unfathomable how both you and your plants can deal with that kind of heat! Even without the flu, surgery, and infection!

I had been acclimatised to 28-29C indoors for weeks, but when our "heat wave" (32-33C) hit, I was mostly out of commisson anyway! :ROFLMAO:

The heat is something we get used too. It slowly ramps up from May onwards. Nobody actually enjoys July and August ad if I was one of the rich ex pat community then we'd be going to England for the summer every year, as they seem too. We not rich and consider ourselves immigrants rather than Ex Pats and just grin and bare it like the locals do.

We may be immigrants here but were lucky that we've really bee accepted by the immediate neighbours, This morning I was taking my wife into the village to get some shopping when we saw one of our old neighbours, Fernando. I stopped the car and insisted he got in; He was so grateful and couldn't stop from saying how we were such good people to have living close by. Mrs DM and myself feel so lucky to be accepted by these simple country folk. And Mr DM scored a kilo of ripe cherries minus the stems, for 1 euro.
1euro for a kilo of cherries.. Awesome or what. And another neighbour has sent up fresh homemade ice cream for our pudding!

This plant was also topped about 10days ago but has not grown rapidly like the preceding 2 that you've just seen, so has had nothing done to her.

“¡Oh, habitantes del Al-Andalus,
que felicidad la vuestra al tener aguas, sombras, ríos y árboles¡
No existe el jardín del Paraíso sino en vuestras moradas
Si yo tuviera que elegir, con éste me quedaría.
No penséis que mañana entraréis en el Infierno;
¡no se entra en el Infierno después de haber vivido en el Paraíso!

(Ibn Jafaya de Alcira, siglo XI, llamado al-Yaman o el amante de los jardines)

"Oh, inhabitants of Al-Andalus!
how happy you are to have water, shadows, rivers and trees!
There is no garden of Paradise except in your dwellings.
If I had to choose, I would choose this one.
Do not think that tomorrow you will enter Hell;
You do not enter Hell after having lived in Paradise!

(Ibn Jafaya of Alcira (Valencia), XI century, called al-Jaman or the lover of gardens)

We give praise for living in Paradise.

The music really does conjure up Al Andalus and it truly is paradise. As you know my friend, we have water! Some of the acequias are drying up these days, but we are still very green compared to other places. Tourists don't really know we're here.

I think the Zacateca Tribute or the Mulanje x Malawi/Ethiopian, they seem to be the nearest but who knows?, I've only grown the GT before and it won't be her. The ZT and the M x M/E seem to have started stretching a bit. We'll know much more by the end of this month.

"Limpia va el agua del río
como la estrella de la mañana.
Limpio va el cariño mío;
el manantial de tu fuente clara...

Como el agua...
Ay, como el agua...
Como el agua...

Como el agua clara,
que ha baja del monte...
...Y así quiero verte
de día y de noche...

Ay, como el agua...
Como el agua...
Como el agua.."

"Clean goes the water of the river
like the morning star.
Clean goes my love;
the spring of your clear fountain...

Like water...
Oh, like water...
Like water...

Like the clear water
that comes down from the mountain...
...And that's how I want to see you
day and night...

Oh, like water...
Like water...
Like water..."
