Holy shit, I have mold problems

I am growing Grandaddy Purple and it's in week 6 of flower. I was looking over my plants tonight and noticed an out of place yellow leaf on one of my denser cola GDP's. I looked closer and inspected the yellow leaf areas by pulling apart the smaller buds to peak in between and saw gray mold!!! I'm worried about all my plants and need some advice! I have a lot of these dense colas on my GDPs so I'm freakin out about this

raise the temps and lower humidity. probably good to run a fan a bit stronger than usual... all this plus removing the infected colas will save the rest...

dry your room out asap.

you got air moving around in there??

those soil or hydroponic?

trim out the gray, if not, sacrifice the whole cola. hash if your comfortable with that. (lots of people will say the mold transfers through most screens)

grow on brother!

i have noticed that when a single bladed leaf dies and is going into a dense cola the dead leaf will often cause mold in that area. in ideal conditions your single bladed cola leaves will stay green but if you have some dieing its better to remove them right away as soon as you notice it starting to yellow. just grab it and pull it out. if its turning yellow it will pull right out. you can prevent the most of it just by carefully looking everything over daily.
make sure if you do have any issues to remove the entire molded section of bud, or the bud in its entirety. the mold spores spread like mad. wash your hands before touching another bud.
reducing humidity and getting some air moving around in there as mentioned above is more important if you want to prevent it before it even becomes a problem.

They are in a coco mix.

I have lots of air movement in there with a fan on high blowing the plants around pretty damn good. And it's not a sealed room, it has an exhaust in the ceiling with air coming in under the door constantly strong.

Does anybody think I would have any success with a spray since it is def. at its earlier stage? I have heard of a milk/water spray but I don't think I've ever actually seen somebody use it...

What about a dehumidifier? How much would one cost that would work for a 10x10 room.

Thank you so much,
Olaz

Remove the mold effected bud asap and seperate the bud from the main stems. Use a diluted bleach/water mixture to clean up the stems.

Check the plants over daily and keep the bigger buds open and seperate so air can circulate between them.

When a leaf dies rapidly late in flower it's a good bet mold is responsible.

you can also wipe down stems with alcohol wipes.... moldy buds can be used for bho or bags but not butter unless you do an ice water extraction.

check local hardware stores as the big boxes tend to be seasonal when stocking dehumidifiers... i got an 18pint one and it got a 11x12 room down to 19% at lowest... takes a few days.. it was on sale for 70 bucks usually 140... they are worth it and the water is just like RO water.

At this point in flowering and under the mold spreading conditions, there's no way I'm going to spray them with anything.

I'm going to cut out all the bud rot/mold..whatever the hell it is, open up the buds on the dense colas on the healthy plants to prevent it, add more fans, and see if I can bring fresh air into the room from outside(might be hard due to light leaking)

a light foilier spray of a high ph water works well. 8-9. got the idea from another moldy thread and it worked really well. a while back i bought some 3 in 1 by safer brand. i cut it in half with water and burnt the shit out of my buds. all bad. if you use 1 part 3 in 1 to 4 parts water before major bud formation it works ok, allthough it will lightly burn fargile pistols. rinse with plain water the next day. they will recover at that stage. i hate pm. hate it soo much.
i also just threw away a bunch of plants one time too. it was a painful experience, but i saved others in the process, once that stuff is in your room, the entire space needs to be treated. empty the room first. de-humidifier sound good too. i run an a/c unit because of heat from my lights which de-humidifies by default.
