and i feel commited to rep logic, ghs trojan. might be a little biased, reps my hood, but he east central coast got to do what he got to do to get that money, has to be like drake or wiz to go anywhere (but he does it with great lyrics that about something). but like wale he doing it through mixtapes(w/ alot {he aint just drake and wiz auto-tune beats} of true east coast hip-hop and some go-go), wale got 2 albums and 7 mixtapes and one with 9th wonder (bcc, sean p, real ny underground true origninal boom bap, brownsville hip hop) that is great and paint a picture which was mixtape of the year. ohh and i love go-go and the dmv. logic just tyin to follow wale foot steps steppin out of moco and g-burg. Have amazing mixtapes w/ great lyrics on dope beats and your go hard be about getting you and tour hard, and now use twitter and fb

big l ryhmed from the head but used some ryhmes that he used before, he came up in the late 80's early 90's hip-hop of nyc which was very battle oriented so he had certain ryhmes ready, but ask bevis i get nothin butt head or your mother should have swallowed u that is from that song alone, and most of the 98' freestyle is orginal to that song

big l put killa cam (cam'ron (dipset)) and murda mase (mase (bad boy {after bigggie}) and helped jay-z (life style of poor n dangerouz helped put jay z out there to true ny hip-hop heads 95 time frame) children of the corn mixtape is one of greatest of all time

wow feel old explaining big l and to think mac dre was actually before him

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_2ZLXh9YEY

remember first time i herad this song was on a west cost master p mixtape, song was so fuckin hot
I've heard a lot of Mac Dre but all of was his stuff that got real popular during the "hyphe" thing

old hip hop lyrics are funny... their delivery/rhyme schemes sound like little white kids the way they group syllables together

Fat boys...Me Myself And I some of the first hip hop videos I can remember seeing... also rumpshaker was a little later, I will always remember the chorus. LOL

on of my favorites. eligh "the chronic"

living legends the shit.

anyone able to hit rock the bells this year shit looked like crucial line up.

and real hip-hop can be on radio just about where the soul of the song is... but biggie and pac and snoop and easy and dre and mase and cam'ron and styles p, and rakim, and krs-one and etc and etc and etc have gotten plenty of radio play and some great hip hop still get radio play.

if u know hip hop u know hip hop doesn't matter where it is played or where it isn't.

yawl really make me feel old!!
I come from the mighty ZULU Nation days. The days of the NYC park jams before rap was on wax. Days of the Cold Crush Brothers, Treacherous 3, Crash Crew, L Brothers, Force MCs, Funky 4 plus 1 more (i even remember when Rahiem was with Funky 4, before he went to Grandmaster Flash & the Furious 5). I remember the EARLY days of hip hop music on radio with WHBI & the Worlds Famous Supreme Team. Mr. Magic was on HBI too, so was the Awesome 2, Teddy Ted & Specail K. WBLS with Mr. Magic & Marley Marl. Kiss FM with Kool DJ Red Alert & Chuck Chillout.....

Man, memories.

...back in the days when Hip Hop began, with Coke La Rock, Kool Herc & then BAM....

i'll throw a couple joints up here. These cats were on Universal until recently but never really got a push. The 1st is a little joint about the state of hip hop in general & the 2nd is a very soulful piece they dropped while still on Universal. 3rd is a track for the ladies, on the smooth tip with some dancehall at the end. 4th is Fresh. 5th is Blowin My Load freestyle
Please take the time to check them. I think yall will enjoy them, but either way...hit me with some opinions on pm or whatever.

Mixtape track over B.O.B beathttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-zCVeXOTjqE&feature=endscreen&NR=1

Turn You Out b/w Wind, Wind (for the dancehall reggae massive) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZYz7TBl7MJc

Fresh http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bapaXm7PxOc

Blowin My Load http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9QPylqMOmpE
