.......been telling ya'll for nearly a decade that Colorado has the best herb in the world. I proved it, my entry was my personal meds grown by me for me, not for the cup.

i do understand where you are coming from with this. my first instinct is also to say no to spreading the dutch genetics to the land race farmers in the third world. but then i think about it from the point of view of the grower and then i understand the wish to add and cross new genes into your gene pool for new vigor and higher thc content and maybe even better yield. is it fair to tell the grower in Trinidad that he can only grow his landrace seeds, because we need him to preserve the purity of the local land race genetics? lol...see what i mean, there are 2 sides to this. from the looks of many of the land race genetics you see in strain hunter films looks quite weak and low yield. they had to smoke imported to get stoned.

like i said i see your point from the genetic stand point. i would be interesting to see what if anything Franco has to say about this.

Hum well when traveling you find many weak strains around the Caribbean and your wondering why this is. If this is what they are calling Landrace then they need to do a bit more work here. Or infuse stronger genetics I would pick the infusing part. I think the climate has a lot to do with what works and what doesn't here not to mention the insects. They do lots of greenhouses here aswell. Education is the key and many are just being introduced to the net and icmag lol peace out headband 707

Hum well when traveling you find many weak strains around the Caribbean and your wondering why this is. If this is what they are calling Landrace then they need to do a bit more work here. Or infuse stronger genetics I would pick the infusing part. I think the climate has a lot to do with what works and what doesn't here not to mention the insects. They do lots of greenhouses here aswell. Education is the key and many are just being instuduced to the net and icmag lol peace out headband 707

I think it also has to do with the knowledge of the growers. If they don't understand how they need to select their plants and seeds, only use seeds of the best plants, and keep weak genetics in the genepool then even the strongest genetics will get watered down.

Despite the dutch police raid the Cup was a blast! The Cali Connection really stepped up their game & had some dank smoke as did DNA & Karma~!

Oh...and we made the 2nd place in the indica seed company cup with "StarBud" ...not 3rd

i had some great weeds , karma , devils harvest , budha , hortilab nearly all the weed peeeps passed me were top shelf , and man the strain jah hoover made was so tasty ,

the best all round weed for me was sour d from dr penthitol . it was so strong and the taste was also incredible . well grown and well flushed ,

then on my last day big budha got some poison og , from california . was also well grown and so smooth .

i was not going to go this year then last minute changed my mind , it was good venue oj . apart from the bullshit it was top notch , weed was better , you were missed people was asking for you .
still kush crazy , good job you crossed all those coffe shop sats cause they seem to be hardly any good sats in the dam now , just amnesias

amnesia haze is liberty haze , tangerine dream is amnesia haze . they dam well taste similar if not

yeah you are right my list was a bit incomplete. guess where i got it? lol anyway, glad people are helping to fill in the suspicious blanks of all non ghsc strain names roflmao. was late when i posted it up, should have thought about it more, hehe.

A few corrections:
In the Netherlands you can only buy 5 grams of Cannabis or Hash at a shop.
You can have 30 grams, not 5, but lately the police say 5 is the limit.
Recently there was a Dutch supreme court decision that if a person grows the tolerated 5 plants permitted, (permitted on a balcony or in the ground garden, no lights) and the weight is over the 30 grams, it is still legal, the case involved over 5,000 grams all from 5 plants.

When they say you must give up your plants if the police ask you, they mean show them.

As for the new 15% THC limit, it does not take a genius to get around that, just sell the buds un-manicured, now everything is legal. As for hash, 15% THC hash is crap, what can I say? The Government also say they may only allow Dutch to buy at coffee shops, but time will tell if that ever happens in Amsterdam.

also despite the 30g possession rules they still confiscated everything even under 5g and even seeds? do you think it was because people didnt refuse to give it up?

last question, how does un manicured bud mean it's legal even if over 15% thc? if they take a sample from a calyx it will still be over 15%?

Weak strains have more to do with bad breeding practices.

well these land race farmers will just take a hand full of seeds from the big bag of seeds from last year and plant them all in 1 area and let them make seeds for next crop, there is no real selection done just a large number of both males and females so they end up wit the whole genetic print each season. but every time only some 10% of the plants are actually worth smoking according to our tolerance levels. i guess they should select males and females to breed with, but that's hard to do without a veg room. these guys are in the bush, but i suppose with a generator you could keep some plants in veg with some supplemental lighting at night, allowing you to do some selective breeding and even make clones. i think with the internet access they will soon start these techniques.
