A little update action, first the flower room.

Butterscotch Hawaiian x NL/Skunk @ first week of flower. She seems to lean towards the NL/skunk (male) side where she has a bit of stretch in growth compared to her sisters which are short and squat with fat dark leaves, this girl has the big fat dark green leaves as well.

Khalisi's @ 1.5 weeks flower, I'm more and more impressed the more I grow her. Very hearty nothing really has fazed them when compared to others in my room, she's showing to be very productive and fast at getting down to the business of flowering. Not a lot of stretch so far under the mh, still nice steady growth.

Here's a couple New York Cookies x Freak.
Definitely hazey with most, nice strong structures. stretching a good amount but I haven't train them much and only topped once in veg. Still there not out of control still got some head room, if need be I will bent their tops if they keep threatening to pass the lights.

Yup it's all coming together, flower room is going good and the cabs are coming along.
Next I was thinking on making up a bucket "cab" for males... gonna take two buckets and flip one on top of the other mount a couple brackets so they stay together, probably going to run 2 23watt cfl's with a computer fan pulling through a hepa filter, keep it simple and some what easy.
Or a small tote, got to look and see what I have kicking around.

Other news is I started some testers recently 10 Purple Train wreck X Pakistani Chitral Kush, should be some good times lol.

My 3 Purple Nocturnals and Goblin God are cranking right along, with some Sour Bubbles and Killer Queen Redux. Oh and Sour Trax and Dg x cc are up and running as well.
Should have some Boggle Gums, White Lotus, Elephant Stomper, Train Wrecks, Blue satellites, and a few more Hawaiian crosses getting ready to go into flower within a few weeks.
So all in all things are going good just dialing everything in and tweak the timing of cycling the girls so that I can transition to perpetual with out over crowding both veg or flower.

have you ever seen when people make male isolation chambers out of clear plastic totes? i think it would give you a little more room then a bucket and you can see into it.

Clear tote is how i did mine an am building another set of them it worked so well. Good to know if sacs are open b4 you open it up so the clear helps.

Absolutely agree with the clear tote and most likely will have one once there is space for it in the flower room. Even thought about a fish tank stood up in the corner.....
As of right now I want to isolate the males completely from the females. Making it this way will allow me to put it any old place.
I also thought about put a viewing port along with a hose and funnel to water with out opening, plus I am trying this chamber out for a grow bud that only has cabs and no space to flower out males. So I told him I would whip something up with some extra junk/materials I had lying around...... I know there are many other ways to go about it, buckets are something I had plenty of so why not repurpose

Yeah then repurpose the buckets.
Another thing your friend can do if he doesn't have a lot of room is leave the males with the females until they start to make pollen sacks, but before they start to drop down and obviously before pollen is released cut the flowering tips off and stick them in a cup of water and under any / no light .

you can store them far away from the flowering females and in a cupboard or something similar and collect the pollen usually within a week. You could also then place the male that had his flowering tops cut into veg if someone was interested in saving a male. I just keep cutting any flowering tops till it reverts back to veg.
This is what I have been doing the last year or so.

Yup I have done it that way as well, lately I put a collection tray under the flowering males to collect pollen and let them go for a bit...... once the tray is covered I collect, dry, then store the pollen. After which I discard the male. How ever if he is truly special then I would keep clones or reveg him.

Been drifting into micro grows lately....kinda got the ball rolling with the buckets. Plus I got to get it in gear so I can start collection of pollen from some of the males I come acrossed.... sour bubble being one, not 100% on what I am going to Chuck but SB is said to be one to have...

Yep we are on the same page. Yeah I have 12 sour bubble seeds going right now that I'm hoping to find a great male. Even though I will use all males to do a open pollination this round with sour bubble.

Got a little update, did a transplant with most of the veggies in cabs....

First up is some HBG gear, Sour Trax on the right, Double Glock x Crazy Cookies on the left.... doing awesome, fast and vigorous growth with all.

Everything is going good but getting crowded lol...
Getting the itch to pop some more beans, Lucky Charms x White Lotus is at the top of the list along with several others.

My Purple Train Wreck x Pakistani Chitral Kush testers are making their way up, 7 out of ten cracked and waiting on them to make their way up and out the soil. Gonna see about making a thread for them in a while once there is something to report on.

Yeah I'm testing out a couple, also got purple urkle x super skunk.
Can't wait till spring when I can really put seeds to soil lol.
