Update Veg Day 40

Update Veg Day 40

This past week or so has seen three more plants make it into the flower room.

I moved the tall skinny one in last week as it was too close to light in veg cab and as I guessed, it's turning out to be a male.

This week I moved the last one showing female pre-flowers into the Flower room.

This other one moved in today I am suspecting to be male, but it's really bushy and the upper part of the main stem is growing funny. It's flattening out and the branches are at odd distances.

I cut the lowest large branch (you can see stump at bottom of main stem in above photo) for cloning and as I was prepping it realized that it's trifoliate! Woot! If this plant does turn out to be male, this cutting will be used to make pollen for crossing with the Royal Hawaiian.

I've tried getting a picture of this cutting, but all 8 shots are out of focus! GRR. I'll try to get a better shot later and post it.

Cheers!

Update Flower Day 17

Update Flower Day 17

Ok, we are on Day 17 of the two largest Chronics in the garden.

They are both very healthy looking and getting very tall. The pistols are very fine and thin unlike the thicker ones on my RH or LS at same age.

At 6 days of flower, we have a female (top center) and a mutant (bottom center) that is likely male.

The third plant that went in at the same time as the above two, turned out male as I suspected. It's very tall with lots of nodes but not much branching. I've got it pulled aside and setup to collect pollen.

At last we have the runt that is showing female preflowers.

So far everything looks good. 4 of 6 female with 7 germed. Pretty good considering how many beans I've screwed up over past 2 years.

Anyway, back to staring at the male and wating for it to pop!

Cheers!

Lights Out Photo

Lights Out Photo

I was experimenting with my camera and got a nice lights out photo of my best Chronic. She's at day 20 of flowering and looking very nice.

Her sister is just a tad smaller, like it's 2-3 days behind.

Anyway, I wanted to add this photo to the thread for documentation.

Cheers!

Nice Hempy!

I took your advice and drilled out some more holes in my water farm. Looking forward to the next round.

Looking real good HH. One question tho, I thought chronic was from serious seeds not sensi. just wondering if their mislabeled?

Grrr. You are correct, they are from SERIOUS Seeds.
I'm going back through and correcting them. Glad I started archiving my originals.

Very nice thread thus far....I'm interested in seeing what your yeild is like. Couple of questions if you don't mind.
What is the height of your flowering room and the current girls?
What temps are you averaging...and what nutes are they being feed?

Room is 7'-6" in height. Girls range from 2' to 3' high.

My room temps are in the 80s.

I use the Lucas formula for GH nutes along with 5ml/gal Kool Bloom.

Update
The two largest Chronics are starting to get frosty and they are showing that they are going to make huge colas as advertised.

That last plant isn't yellow and suffering a nute problem, it's the damn HPS lighting. Maybe I'll get some lights out photos later. I hate doing that cause I can't see if shot lined up on little screen.

Until next update....
Cheers!

I will keep checking this thread out.Your grows are always impressive. Thanks for the hydro advice. I drilled new holes in the water farm and will see how it works once the new clones are ready. I have a new strain going in so I won't be able to compare the root growth to the unmodified farm. I am going to use a PPM meter even with my tap water and see what difference that makes too.

Where did you get your little shut off valves for the buckets?
