EDIT: Unfortunately, there are a small handful of "growers" who will hit the dislike button on all of my posts. I know who they are but I will not name them in respect of the forum. They dislike my son and there is nothing we can do about that. We refuse to let them get us down.

PEACE TO ALL AND GROW SAFE EVERYONE! ;)

Fuck the haters man!
jealousy is a motherfucker.

you guys just keep trucking and let em tug on your coat tails.
bang up job, kudos to you and your son

Wow,, that looks sweet,,,I've been looking up on Hempys and want to try it.I'm an outdoor grower any insights on outdoor Hempys ???

Hi Mas and thanks for the compliments. I've never grown a Hempy outdoors so I'm the wrong guy to ask. Others have done it with good results though.

Hi Lowman I googled earthbox but that thing looks nothing like a Hempy bucket. Totally different rez area and concept. Hempy buckets are so much cheaper and simple.

In my mate's garden, he's playing with coco for the first time. After he xplanted some rooted clones he decided to defoliate them shortly afterwards. Basically he cut of all the fan leaves from the main stem. Like this...

Just before the leaf chop.

Hi Opus. He's running four different strains in this round and one of them is Shiva Shanti II. I'm not too sure about the other 3 strains.

Harvest pics...

So they was hung upside down for 8 days before going into the curing tub where they're still curing.

Just waiting for him to give me some more pics of the current and next rounds.

Good looking haul!

Cheers dub, pity that we have someone giving my thread a one star and bad marking all posts in my thread lol but we must remain +ve.

That yield was around 9 zips from a 400w bulb. Not his best run but not too bad considering the veggy circumstances.

The run he's growing now is in coco. We'll see how they perform.

Oh yeah, just to tell you a little about our quarters, we are also enthusiastic about the art of defoliation too and there will be some serious defoli work to follow throughout this exciting journal.

All comments and questions welcome.

Thanks again :)

Whew glad your inviting questions cause this is the third hempy grow I've seen, read through 2 of em and thought I might get an answer from you before I read the whole thread through. Just a real quick question that I haven't seen the answer too; does the water that's left under the 2 inches of the drain holes on the sides of the bucket just sit there? It's my understanding that the roots will grow into the hydro stones or perlite so wouldn't it hurt them if they suck up the left over in the pot water? Thanks if you answer.

T

that smell

cha cha, in nature plants roots grow down to find the water,so do the roots in a hempy bucket. As far as the "rez" in the bottom, I have never had or ever heard of a problem with it. If you do as Hempy says and dont try to fix what aint broken it will be smooth sailing

Hi cha cha. There is only one hole, 2 inches above the base of the bucket which creates an internal rez...

It's my understanding that the roots drink up the water in the rez first, then the water in medium (whether it be perl/verm mix or coco).

I've never had any problems with any damage to the roots.

Ah much appreciate your answers Grassott & that smell; my defense being I've only ever grown in soil and it's like a new world to me with coco & now I think I understand it more. I'm so glad you told me it's just 1 hole cause I thought it was all around the bucket and 'rez' that word baffled me forever clear now it's just the run-off at the bottom of the pot- I wouldn't have guessed that-hehe Best Karma my friends. Rastafari.

The water in the rez does not SIT long enough to create problems . within 2 days all or most of the water is gone from the plants drinking/using it . it takes water& nutes alot longer than 2 days to go sour , you may get a slight PH fluctuation if you had to let it sit for more than a couple days . but thats about it .
