HELP....triangle kush? INFO?

G

GOOROO

Florida is great to grow in. Big houses with 200 amp panels and a 5 ton ac unit. One season outside year-round. So ya dial in your room, and its dialed for the year (unlike dealing with seasons/winter). And Heat+Humidity=Rainforest Effect=Big Yields.

TK, take it or leave it. By no means is it "the greatest marijuana plant ever". Just another decent clone that people pass or hoard. You could find one just as good tomorrow in some seeds, if ya looked hard enough.

heya buddy....anyone in the crew still have her? seems everyone let her go after all.....

Hi Sprinkl,

That would indeed make sense but that is also light years from some of the stories we've been led to believe and regarding a plethora of lines and pedigrees. If you told me that you crossed 3 OG's and there was very little segregation in succeeding generations, I could buy that. But from lemon Thais to old world Pakistani's, from Mass Super Skunks to NL X Bubba origins. From Haze terpene profiles to,, I could go on and on. The supposed parental inputs never to be observed again upon recombination generations - ever.

Not only that but highly complex traits of these supposed hybrids from trichome field density to extremely complex terpenoid profiles breed fairly true? No way man, not happening, no sale, it all flys in the face of what we know about genetics. Some darker conversation I know, and some of it may indeed fall under the category of honest mistakes. However I feel a shitload of it was just plain old lies some folk thought would never catch up with them in an industry largely composed of folk we might consider less than knowledgeable on the subject,,, and I think they were wrong. I see no value in the soap opera that might ensue by blowing the lid off some of it, but there is certainly value in a more in depth understanding of what we collectively hold in regards to the collective germplasm, and how it might be better utilized.

Hundred Gram Oz,

I feel it depends who's growing it and where, they are pretty close yield-wise. I prefer the SFV outdoors where I am at, but indoors the TK will do just as well or better yield-wise and much better in other categories. Very important traits such as quality of resin production is altered from plant to plant by fiddling with factors such as light duration during flowering etc. The answer will end up sounding like the SFV produces more in a number of environments, but the TK can keep up in X, W, and Z. -T

Is the triangle more earthy on and piney in taste also is the triangle or white what used to be call
crippy or the crypt cuz it knocked u on ur ass. This was 98 99 00 i was gettin it stick to the bag my best friend dad best friend grew it. My buddies dad was around boca Orlando area. I do indoor, and only need ac in the summer

I was giving you FL guys props, seems you don't get it and you dislike my posts, but whatever, you guys got balls, and I imagine the payoff is good, but not enough for the risk

No probs here with your posts. What I meant was yea, you need ac in the summer, and you need heat in the winter, and changing your intake/exhaust levels, etc, etc. One season = much easier to dial in a room, the cost is 24/7 365 A/C power drain.

tom - i was referring to the bubbaesk (good word) one - as i have not grow a stretchy PK.

I am a big fan of that cut and honestly like my kushes (pre 98 bubba, KEN GDP, bubba from god, LA con) more than the triangle - i also have OGs the out shine the triangle as-well...

just my humble opinion and take note that im a indica fan and love stoney weeds....not huge into uplifting strains as i am very high energy naturally

heya buddy....anyone in the crew still have her? seems everyone let her go after all.....

This was my feelin as well... Nothing overly special... Maybe the subtle earthy-ish kush w a slight edge, but nothing that was in the wow category... Same for the high.

Gonna do a second run w a single gal, but that's just to dble check that I didn't fuck the run up so badly that it turned her into...??? Mediocre. Flush, dry and finish were spot on, so...?

Space... Sure that's the real deal? Or is just hyped up hype???

TK was the bomb while i had her. typical lanky OG bitchy-ness but awesome when done correctly. simply one of the best. i am one that lost her, but i am ok with that. it's nice to grow from seed. i think i miss my rhinowreck more than her for some reason. i have a cross going now with her that is cream smelling/tasting. here she is.

That is what it is all about to me. And what I do not understand. We seemed to have made SOOOO MUCH progress to get us to the OG/Chem/Diesel lines - it truly is some fantastic cannabis.

But why then did we suddenly hit this wall?!? I would think it is because we have been told lies to make us chase our tails and just keep hacking out the same basic inbreed lines over and over again, believing SOMETHING new and exciting is going to magically appear again...

Time and time again we have seen that this is NOT the case. Sure we have been finding great plants from this era - but nothing NEW that breaks the dam all over again and brings forth progress again...

Personally - I'm so ready for that "next big thing" - and more so - KNOWING how it got so - that way we can have an understanding of how to work with it in a direction that continues to improve the species

Granted "improve" is subjective - improve for OUR purposes - put it that way...

:respect: Tom - really glad to have you tackling this challenge for us and getting to the bottom of things. I for one am at the edge of my seat like I haven't been for years in the forums. I feel a new era of knowledge and FACTUAL information is upon us - a period of enlightenment - crazy what the TRUTH will do!!!

I dont think we've hit a wall so much as, we have reached a point where many/most good cuts/seeds/strains out there have all the basic traits a cannabis grower/smoker might want...dense nugs, frostiness, potency, etc. Now that we have those traits pretty much locked into a wide range of potential parent plants/strains, what we need is folks doing some intelligent crosses, and 3 or 4 or 5 way affairs maybe, growing and selecting from thousands of plants, and start working on dialing in certain other traits like smell, taste, quality of high, etc, and combining those in different ways. That's one reason why I'm so happy to see this legalization going on in Colorado and Washington. Now people can get licenses and we just might see an explosion in breeding, with lots of crap probably but also some really fantastic strains coming out of it.

it is my understanding that if the triangle kush actually is the original og then it went like this.. it got to california around 91' and people just called it kush or pure kush, not knowing much about it and thinking it was a kush or remembering it as triangle kush and just keeping the kush part.. this kush or pure kush got passed around and eventually became what we know as "og kush" by 96 at the latest and thats when people came to the conclusion that that original cut that came here that eventually became og kush was in fact triangle kush which must have been made in florida sometime in the late 80s?

this is not even close to gospel. just how it plays out in my mind cuz people swear that og kush was around LA for 20 years. easily since 91. maybe even sooner, it just wasnt called og kush.. people just called it kush or LA kush or pure kush.. kinda why theres pure kushs going around that are just og's and definitely not "pure kush's" they just kept that original tag..

but sometime in the mid 90s the og kush title stuck to it. some people still have that original old school og kush from 20 years ago that smells, looks and grows exactly like an og but it just wasnt called og kush when it was originally around.

i wonder if this cut is triangle kush? i am almost postive. i got one and ill see if it comes out anything like TK.

Theres an og cut from florida that dates back to at least '92

^^ was it called og in 92? i doubt it, prolly called something else and once the og's made their rounds and yall seen em, i bet yall realized its the same thing and that cut from 92 is in fact what theyre calling og kush now. haha i wonder what it was called then?

funny, these og kush arguements and threads get old and repetitive but we do learn a lot and have our own ideas.

speaking of triangle kush and ogs from florida.

we used to get this strain in southern arizona called florida gump back in the late 90s early 00's that we thought was the best thing ever, it reaked of pine sol fuel.. and at this time we started getting og kush from LA and we thought it was similar but the og's we were getting werent as lemon pine soly. more earthy fuel but thinking back on it and after seeing plenty of super lemon pinesol stinking og's ive realized that it had to have been an og kush, i wish i could see it now to know for sure but from what i remember it had to have been.

i thought it was weird that it was from florida and thought that it definitely wasnt the og cuz og was from cali but now its all making sense. i wonder if what we were getting as florida gump was really triangle kush under a different tag or another one of those fire strains from florida form the same people. i dont know.. is the triangle kush lemon pinesol og?

ive mentioned this strain here before and never got any answers so i dont expect any, but it was one of those strains ill always wonder about and wish i could geet some kind of info and really wish i could get the cut.. maybe someday someone will have some info.

on this tour he found some the most amazing smoke he had ever encountered.
