Trying to figure out what is going on with this girl. She is 27days into 12/12. I have been feeding her botanicare PBP bloom, cal mag, liquid karma, and hydroguard.

I am noticing a good bit of yellowing.. I am thinking i over nuted, as i upped the PBP a bit. What about being rootbound?

Any help on diagnosis, and how to fx, would be much appreciated! THis is my first grow!

Which pbp are you using ...hydro or soil? What's your ph? How much pbp and cal mag are you using per gallon? We can use the following calculations to come up with a new recipe if needed.

Pure Blend Pro Bloom Hydro
2.5-2-5
1.0625 grams/ml
@10ml/Gal
N 70
P 24
K 116
Mg 14
Ca 28
Fe 0

Pure Blend Pro Bloom Soil
1.5-4-5
1.0625 grams/ml
@10ml/Gal
N 42
P 49
K 116
Mg 14
Ca 28

Botanicare Cal Mag Plus
2-0-0
1.0208 grams/ml
@10ml/Gal
N 54
P 0
K 0
Mg 32
Ca 86
Fe 2.7

Oh sorry it is hydro.

according to the bottles it is this breakdown:
PBP-30-45ml per gal
Calmag-5-7ml per gal
Liquid Karma- 10-15 per gal.

Up until this last res change i was using the lower end of the spectrum 30ml, 5ml, 10ml. This last change out(friday) i used 35ml, 6ml, 12ml.

Are you sure the bottle states to use 30ml? According to another thread, you should use 15ml per gallon pbp hydro bloom. You want around 100 ppm nitrogen. See if the bottle states how many ml to add to achieve this. You don't want to use cal mag plus in flower because it adds nitrogen. Instead, add powdered gypsum and epsom salts. Neither of these adds n. Try 1/4 (of both) teaspoon per 1.33 gallons of water along with the regular fert. This adds 45 ca and 23 mg. This is equivilant to using about 7.5ml of cal mag plus. What ph are you using?

I may not be familiar with this fert. :( What are the numbers on the bottle like 2-2-2? Lets figure everything out in ppms to be accurate and decide what and how much to add...

Get net weight, total ml, ml used per gallon, and % of elements like 2% nitrogen off the bottle label. Enter this info in the calculator in my signature below. You want about 100 ppm nitrogen in flower. You also want 4:2:1 potassium to calcium to magnesium. So if you got 200 ppm potassium, you would want 100 ppm calcium and 50 ppm magnesium. If you only have total nitrogen and not which type...enter it in the calc only once in the urea, nitrate or ammonia slot. It does not matter which one you pick, they come out the same. For reference, 1/4 teaspoon per gal powdered gypsum = 60 ppm ca and 1/4 teaspoon epsom salts per gal = 30 ppm magnesium. You will see that adding cal mag plus (the numbers are in a previous post in this thread so you don't have to enter the info info in the calc :smile: ) adds nitrogen you don't need. Here is an example...Click on it to enlarge.

You will have to experiment with what to add to get 100 ppm n and the 4:2:1 ratio. I will help with this if you can't figure it out. If you luckily find the ppm info on the bottle...it may be in p2o5 instead of p and k2o instead of just k. Multiply p2o5 x .43 and k2o x .83 to convert to just p and k. The calculator does this for you.

If the bottle is 2.5-2-5, your using too much with 30 ml. this would be about 200 ppm nitrogen. Try the recipe above with 15 ml per gallon and the gypsum/epsom.

Here is 30 ml per gallon. While i don't have net weight and ml of the bottle, here is about what it works out to be. Click on it to make larger. Once larger, put cursor in bottom right corner to get even bigger/clearer.

You can see nitrogen is almost 200. You want about 100 so use 1/2 this much...add the epsom and gypsum combo. Try local garden centers for gypsum. Call around first. If you get stuck and can not find it, we can use the cal mag plus but remember this adds nitrogen we don't really desire in flower.

According to the calculator, he should have a magnesium deficiency. You will not see nitrogen def with 200 ppm n. This is almost full strength grow. His leaf tips are even getting burned. :joint:

looks like early yellowing due to lack of nitrogen . This just happened to me actually i gave em some bat guano and it seems to be helping. Just give them a small dose of something with N in it and see if it helps one of the plants. If it looks good after a day or so do the rest. No hydro expert just my to cents

2 good choices

2 good choices

15 ml pbp bloom per gallon of water
1/4 teaspoon of both gypsum and epsom salts per 1.33 gallons (not 1 gallon!)

-or-

15 ml pbp bloom per gallon of water
4 ml millennium cal mag max per gallon (this doesnt have nitrogen)
1/8 teaspoon epsom salts per gallon

Just for reference...
Millennium Cal Mag Max
0-0-0
1.12632 grams/ml
@5ml/Gal
N 0
P 0
K 0
Mg 15
Ca 60
Fe 0.744
Mo 0.045
Cu 0.045
