HELP!!! Lights randomy turned off last night!??!??

Hey hey everyone,

Last night my lights turned off at some point during the 12/12 light cycle, I'm only 8 days in to flower, so I'm not stressing the short light cycle to bad. However, I need to figure this out. They normally come on at 9:30pm-9:30am, I was in there at lights on to mix my res, water, and do some training. Everything was fine, they looked happy. I wake up this morning and go in the room at 7:45am and the lights are off! WTF!
I have one of those hydrofarm programmable light timers, brand new for this grow, been working like a charm all through veg, and this first week of flower.
What happened? Like I said, not to worried about the plants being ok, just need to troubleshoot this tonight when they come back on. I unplugged the timer and plugged one of the lights in this morning and the ballast light came on, but I didn't let it fire all the way up because I didn't want to disturb the light cycle a second time. I'll just resume 12/12 tonight. I have a mini panel with a 20amp installed that has given me zero issues as far as I know. HELP IC!?!?:clock watch:

Are you 100% sure that when you left your garden, you did not turn off the lights without realizing it?

100%, I don't touch any of that, the 2x600w lights(SolisTek Ballast) are on a brand spanking new HydroFarm timer. The only light I touch is the wall switch for the light that is outside the tent. I doubt both my lights/ballast are faulty on the same night, at the same time. I'm thinking either the timer is faulty/defective, or possibly a power surge?

Was a breaker tripped? both ur lights plugged into one hydro farm timer? Was it one of the digital ones? I had a pretty new (couple month old) hydro farm digital timer take a crap on me last year.
I was using it to turn on my drip system... It had some kind of weird short and would reset to 12:00 am every few hours or anytime I even touched it... (Which is how I finally pinpointed the issue)
I'd try replacing the timer before I made any other changes.
Good luck

Well, the timer was still programmed and in seemingly working order. Both lights are plugged in to the digital hydrofarm timer. It did not reset.

Ya, it may not be the timer... But I was just relaying what I thought might be pertinent info.. I had a hydro farm digital timer that looked like it was functioning and upon closer inspection it wasn't.
If the timer isn't the culprit and the breaker isn't tripped then idk? Hope u figure it out, good luck
