Mark Emery is full of shit as usual.

The DEA is not involved, only the RCMP. The charges relate to RC's seed business alone and the servers regarding CW/OG are thus far not siezed. The logs were wiped prior to the bust going down.

RC is out on bail.

Hope that clears some things up.

I feel pretty calm about this at this point but Hashcravers message is making me a little concerned, since I don't know what "happened" to emery's customers.

Chance are good that they have been doing the same as they did with ME. they got the orders and mail before he did from what I've read so that subject. If you order illegal seeds and gave your home address, growing address, you and your family could be in deep shit...

I just keep enivisioning a cop getting my order and dialing up my local LEO. not that a bust would matter at this point, since there's nothing to bust, but it makes me feel like there could be an indefinite amount of time before I could grow again.

Well, let's see. Emery was a pain in the ass for a lot of reasons, to a lot of people. The US in particular. Many would argue for the ultimate benefit of the cannabis movement, I would not. However, . He was the example child, almost like Tommy Chong getting busted for bongs of all things. Now, I've spoken to RC a number of times now since the bust, so I can tell you for sure that the interest of the RCMP (and ultimately Revenue Canada) is his seed business and all the assets he might have as a result, it's a different motivation for the bust.

ME and RC are apples and oranges in many ways including the busts.

I think whatever forces caused the shutdown of all these sites and services, was the need to cut off our most useful resources. I think the government knows that most of us would not be great or even decent growers without the wealth of information on those sites. furthermore, if one of the major sites like hs is shut down, most ppl that order from there instead of europe to ensure the packages' international travel is cut down to a minimum, will probably not risk ordering from SD, even tho it's prolly almost as safe.

okay -- its been almost two weeks since this whole thing "went down". I have more than realised the error of my ways in having seeds sent to my grow address. I have arranged for a safe address to get seeds, but will still need to grow at my orginial location.

My question is, since I will probaly never know exactly what went down, when should I start up again?

If it was me, I wouldn't risk fuck all for a seed purchase in the US. Even though through what I know about what has happened, I personally wouldn't (and am not) worrying, consider the cost and the risk if you are in a situation where you ordered to where you grow. Most people do not do this, which limits exposure no matter what.

Thaitanic. - Nothing has changed. It's still a local seed bust and a takedown of a business that was making money off seeds. Asset seizure, charges for import / export...etc. No news of other police forces.

In my somewhat experienced view of police operations, they don't take down the source and then slowly bust the rest after weeks of it being common knowledge. If they had proof that you already grew, or were growing and were a member of various sites.....what would you do as a cop???

You never got the seeds......so, are you growing, or........the evidence would seem that you cannot possibly be since you never got the seeds.

I'd chill for a bit anyhow, if only to just to give my nerves a rest, but there's not much of a case against you as it is.

Lothar your answer was " W don't know" So heres a suggestion:

Someone (with some balls and 100% clean) go into Cartierville Station Post Office in St. Laurent Quebec and tell the postmaster that "I was in the neighborhood and thought I'd drop off this envelope for Box #10 and save the cost of a stamp". Then watch VERY carefully what happens next.
That would go a LONG way to proving who has control.
