I don't know about this 707 shit,
But I smoked some daywrecker in college. It was hard to get and expensive.
But gawddamn... Everytime I smoked that stuff I never made it to class or the slopes. I couldn't do much beyond roll another joint and pass out.
I do have to agree with Rez, good cuts are held closely. I have a friend who drove to Montana in '98 to get a Trinity cut. he spent $1k to get two unrooted cuts. I have to say though, it was totally worth it. roadkill skunk all the way. If you want something good you gonna have to pay...

I've got it growing right now. Here is some info on the strain.

Original Diesel' (also known as Diesel #1, Headband, Daywrecker Diesel, Underdawg) came from a cross of '91 Chemdawg x (Mass Super Skunk x Sensi's Northern Lights) done by a guy known as ‘weasel’.

This is the headband i have smoked ... KILLER!! Somewhat "like" Sour d , looks except darker looking bud ... tasted like Sour d too ... But the high was way UP !! Like you were TOO high ! And clear .... I'm east coast and have had some good east coast sour d !! The high just did not have the legs(read did not last),like... the Headband has !! My 2 cents !! monkey5

ive got/grown the the 707 HB, loompas HB, loompas 91, chem 4, chem d, abusive, sfv etc etc. IMHO none of those cuts hold a candle to loompas HB. ive been growing loompas HB for just about 2 years now. the only thing on the same potency level is the d.

loompas HB is a plant from another world in the fact it will turn out different from grower to grower. it will take all the PK you can give her.

el gato told me he smelled lemony tones in it after his first run. when mine and the 7 others who hold the cut smells nothing like that. the variation between growers/mediums/nute levels is what determines the type of high/flavor it gives.

foe & EG- hope you guys are enjoying that cut. HB or not for raw potency the only thing that comes close is the chem D. IMHO loompas HB has the edge over it but not by much.

the 707 is like someone said here before its the 2008 arcata TW. shit is everywhere here.

when i show/smoke people what loompas HB looks like they agree its a totally different cut and better.

lol ok you can have it....Really I'm not sure either way, but IMO it's like spliting hairs trying to figure where the pot came from. All I know is it's some dam fine smoke and has made some great things.

I really dont remember if it was a Dead show or Phish, was probably a Dead show, Dam I miss those days, saw the Dead for the first time when I was 13 I think, man it was a great time to grow up in Oregon, get the dead and the country fair all in the same week.

I'm so excited about this!!! Thank you so much for your contribution. It's nice to see someone else growing Headband here on the forums. I read elsewhere that no one knows what the modern Headband going around really is. The consensus is it's certainly not Diesel#1. There are also supposedly a lot of knockoffs going around the dispensaries.

I think the plant will smell and grow different depending on humindity, heat levels, etc.

But yeah thanks for your contributions.

Funny you say that,when my friends used say it.I try to explain ,its one of those bands that you either "get it" ie like it or "you don't" .Its not necissarilly the songs they play .But the improvisional musical fabric that they create,that makes them unique.Some people like them ,just cause of the party reputation.

I then usually tell them to pick up a copy of "Terrapin Station" ,and get back to me .To each his own ,thats what makes the world great....

as far as the DEAD goes...i used to see them back in the day
and the live performance is what makes the dead the DEAD

One thing about the Dead, those dudes liked to play! I saw them a few times and I enjoyed every time. The best time was outdoors under a full moon. The concert was supposed to start at 7 and I got there at 6:30 and the band was already playing. They played til after midnight with one twenty minute break. Talk about getting your money's worth! El Gato is right about doing some acid before you saw them but with me it was usually only a couple hits, lol. I never really understood the Dead until I listened to them when I was tripping and then it was impossible NOT to get them.

i know what he means by really good strains not going around like whores. i know of one other strain that is very secreted and looks very different from anything i've seen on here to date. the way the trichomes stand on end a certain way, the lumpy growth formations, etc. i think i showed cf once in private some shots of this one strain, but i still can't get my hands on it. the owner who let me in on its existance has lost it (der), and is having trouble recovering it again from the original owners, and it's over 30 years old by now. it's serious like that. if your lucky to get it once, cherish it. maybe its the real headband, LOL -- j/k, i doubt it, it's from southeast asia tho, and has some similarities to chemdog in bud structure/appearance, but it is more sativish looking for sure, but only 2x in size from any vegged height. that's not so sativish, so i dunno. but i do know it's very hard to clone cause its so old, most clones fail, and it could take up to 3 weeks to root. it comes infected with spider mites as a bonus

i am all for sharing everything..and could care less..if you like it, enjoy.. if not, owell then kill it. but all these name brands for a mere $10 a cut kinda devalues a strain don't u think? sounds like lots of fakes probably going around also if it's that cheap. i've had lots of buds over the years that look like all of these thick sparkle monsters that i see here, and have been let down more times then not.. and i consider myself a lightweight.. proofs in the smokin'
