Thanks jelly! I really appreciate that.you guys probably don't realize it but I've known you guys for years even though my account is new.even since OG I remember you guys.you guys are like family.anyway I got a little sad and drunk.didn't mean to derail the thread.I think what Ali would say is let's keep striving for greatness.no matter what.its unfortunate that his death made me realize that, but perhaps that was his gift to us.to make us realize that.that's what I believe.

People that grew up with Ali grew up with the Beatles, and Robin Williams.

A lot of people hated a black man with a big mouth in those days. It was a different time in America, a time of shame. But, Ali proved throughout the years that he is a smart and highly pure athlete. A lot of those racist ended up liking him and in that they started giving other black people a chance before just discounting them right away because of the color of their skin.

Ali talked the talk and walked the walked. He was a giant of a human being and part of an era that is dying one person at a time.

RIP Muhammed Ali. you are a hero to a lot of people.

at first i had an issue because he refused to "serve his country". that part was really played up in the news. as i grew older & learned exactly what the "service" entailed, & how many other young poor men of ALL colors were dying for nothing, he grew rapidly in my eyes for calling BS on the war. i think that those that went & served because they believed in the cause it was allegedly fought for deserve nothing less than our undying gratitude for their willingness to support freedom against communism. however, looking back w/out the rose-colored glasses on, i would bet that lots of those same brave young men wish that they too had said "fuck you, i got nothing against them viet cong". if only Joe Voter had listened when Eisenhower warned us about the rising military-industrial complex...

When rock climbers need to relieve themselves of a deuce halfway up a cliff, a 'mud falcon' is born :)

I was a dirty fucking hippie draft resister in those days. Not I, nor anyone I knew, ever, ever disrespected the guys who had to go there. They were the kids we went to high school with, our people. All the people I have known who came back from there never, ever want to talk about it.

That was was not protecting US Soil and in the end the US Lost in shame. The smart man didn't support that "War" from the beginning. The dumb man died in Viet Nam, fighting a war that was not his, and dying for a cause that was not real.

Sometimes war is necessary. WWII was a good example. But Viet Nam, it was a fucking joke and it ended badly.

Funny now Obama is says the US can sell arms to Viet Nam. I am sure glad I am not allowed to vote in the USA.

I wasn't too fond of the movie (typical Hollywood) but they became friends. Will is going to be a pallbearer. Love this shot.

Ali a Draft dodger...he avoided the draft when he was called upon to serve.

Changed his name and took Islam name..fucking pussy.

Elvis Presley served the draft when called.

So Screw you Ali,you won't be missed.

Ummmm. No. A draft dodger is different than somebody that stood up against the war itself. He was quoted saying something along the lines of "I ain't got no problem with the ViatKong." He did his time, standing up for something he believed in. I greatly admire him for this, even if I don't agree with his stance.

"Changed his name and took Islam name...Fucking pussy." Yea, say that to his face. (when alive and in his prime) I am sure you would have proved how big of a "pussy" he was.

Now if we are going to talk reality here, lets not get carried away with the best boxer of all time. I mean, Frazier did beat him when they were both in their prime. Greatest three fights of all time. "Down goes Frazier!"

Just a showman, big deal,Seen better boxers than Clay.Maybe at his light weight, but heavy weight he was slow at times when he fought Foreman. He did win the Champ Belt and kept it.

Turkey's Erdogan came to the united states with his islam posse but why he left because he couldn't speak at Clay's Funeral.

Just like Clay." I don't wanna Join something ( Draft) that has nothing to do with me"

Serve your country you Lunatic loud mouth islam wanna be..but you didn't.Jimi Hendrix on the Isle of wight blue angel DVD told everyone to serve your country and if you don't "F*** Y**.Right at the beginning of the Concert.

Elvis had Balls...Clay didn't.

On the other hand,I enjoyed watching the Wilt Chamberlain and Clay's on youtube.Wilt's 92 inches arms to Clay's 78 inches.
