Me, myself, I don't really give a shite what anyone says or thinks bout him, I love a good fight, I wasted my fightin days pissed drunk beating men up in the town centre, I lacked the discipline and determination which is what is needed to go to the level he did, I will always be in awe of that man, I believe there's a ring up there for the past pugilists, I'd say there all in training for a go at the greatest, RIP champ.

Hey shithawk...no need to apologize man..the stages you've gone thru in this thread are the stages that millions of people went thru over the course of this man's life...if the thread goes long enough...you probably figure out another reason to dislike him...before realizing that you again think well of him...ha
That's one of many pieces of his puzzle...soooooo many people experienced his life with him

I didn't know he was so sensitive.his ex wife said he used to cry alot.and he felt so bad when he beat Joe Frazier he cried, cause when Joe lost that time it fucking almost ruined his career. I'm a martial artist not a sport boxer so all this is new to me.I've finally found a new hobby

I am lucky to have lived thru that era. Ali was genuine. All these lame dick polititions we have acting out right now make me sick,.
I admired him when he resisted the draft. And stayed the course. I think about the toll that war took on my young friends and our country. He made good use of his time on earth.
Thanks mohamed ali.

Ali was a great fighter but that was not what held my finest respect. At the top of his form he declared the Viet Cong were not his enemy and that no was he going to fight them. He said a lot of inspirational words in those days, words that sprang straight from the earth. I too was a draft resister about that time and it took some courage to duck the drat but Ali was the bravest of us all

The thing he did that got my respect was that he was very nice to his fans and where ever else he traveled. He was literary treated like a god.and even though he talked shit to his opponents he actually respected them and became friends.the thing that got me teary eyed was when George Foreman talked about him. This is a shithawk qoute though "May the Valkyries take Ali to Valhalla and may this warrior live like a king forever". Not too shabby considering Ali said he was the king of england! Its fitting.

People that grew up with Ali grew up with the Beatles, and Robin Williams.

A lot of people hated a black man with a big mouth in those days. It was a different time in America, a time of shame. But, Ali proved throughout the years that he is a smart and highly pure athlete. A lot of those racist ended up liking him and in that they started giving other black people a chance before just discounting them right away because of the color of their skin.

Ali talked the talk and walked the walked. He was a giant of a human being and part of an era that is dying one person at a time.

RIP Muhammed Ali. you are a hero to a lot of people.
