I know it's been awhile but could you please explain what keeper qualities you saw in the L shaped one please.
My 3 THH ladies. The L shaped one is showing keeper qualities in my opinion. All 3 are cloned.
I'm learning that topping these Hazy plants only makes them more unmanageable. It's a hard habit to break.

wow, the hazes and toms haze are testing well...those are pretty decent figures (not that that means anything :))
would you consider testing any boys with it? wonder how you would go about that.....I mean could you cob some male bits and test that maybe?).....finding the most potent male would be cool without growing the progeny out...
you know i hadnt considered that... i could certainly try to test some male plant material...
thanks for the suggestion

oh, im sure it was just resin coverage and cluster formations. a tighter bud. flowering time.
after growing these out and testing the final product its all about the effect. you should probably make sure to keep everything until youve smoked it. and also keep clones long enough that your finished plant material has time to cure because it certainly changes with time.
THH seems to finish significantly faster than OHaze. THH looks and feels more thai dominant.
and OHaze seems more columbian and dreamy.

though ive grown these hazes for a couple years now i still dont know shit because its a commitment of time and patience. and it feels like ive grown hundreds but realistically i can still count my attempts on my fingers and toes.

I like that you are humble.

Thanks for the info on THH and OH. I don't have any seeds of either of these but maybe one day.

I was asking because when someone says they picked a plant out and gives pics it helps me to get an idea of what to look for in any given strain.

im still establishing a knowledge base. i want to grow every variety. so i can learn from them. i want to smell them all and sample them all.

(THH via madmac - purchased from proseeds) in this situation i liked (visually) the one that formed a nugget bud rather than a longer running bud formation. i had 3 girls finish.
in retrospect its almost laughable because i often observe on this site someone pheno hunting and i cringe as they select the most hybrid leaning plant that seems to be least like the actual plant they are hunting. then i pretty much did the same thing.
its sometimes hard in this day and age to select a plant strictly by effect when we are so caught up on its appearance.
so i liked this pheno best visually but the effect was really aggressive. the other 2 with the looser running flowers were more enjoyable with lots of energy with less psychological introspection.
attached a picture of what i thought was the keeper.
if i was a betting man id say there was a tiny bit of skunk that made it into this line but thats just an opinion. and i havent grown 100 of these yet so what do i know?
i tested 2 of these plants on the purpl pro. this one tested at 16%thc. the other one grew more wheat-like flowers and tested at 20%

Just wading in here, are those revegged by chance? Back in Draconian times you'd chop and leave the lowest healthy branch and just reveg in the same medium and go straight into flower. Several cycles were run like this.
these plants look this way because they were over-vegged in little pots during a move. so once i got to the new location, got the room setup and up-potted thats how they looked after some mandatory leg shaving...

be also cool to test some bud prior to cobbing or curing and then after, see if it tells us anything about what is happening in the cure or cobbing process..
its got a million and one uses that thing!
i do have some cobbed bandaid haze that i could test... but i no longer have any uncompressd to compare it with...

ive never reversed a male. id like to do that sometime. then test that material.

this is black lime bubba x sour dough. really beautiful plant. i will have to look to see if i have a picture of it growing. lavender colored buds. smells like someone sliced a lime on your grandpas oily work bench. taste is rich and oily. very masculine aromas. cool genetics in the black lime stuff. this plant is pollinated with sour D fem pollen. i cant help but think that combination has to be cool. surely someones done it first. regardless im excited to grow some.

The leaf is from a Mayberry S1 from Josh Blue. this leaf caught my eye. double serrations. looks like danger. crocodile.

hey, that's a cool idea

yeah I have a bit of josh's stuff I am going through at the moment...what I see so far I like...next I'm keen to try grape krush i think....
his navy cross contained the most blueberry expression ive ever had. so he caught my attention with that one. i actually went back for more but he was out. so he recommended Mayberry... we shall see

Sorry for the delayed response!
My phone went crazy, it took a bit to get it back in working order and I haven't had the time to get on my computer.

I wouldn't say you don't know what to look for when it comes to this plant. You may not have much experience with a specific strain but I feel you're familiar with the plant.

Plus it's your plants grow them how you want!

If others choose to release their inner demons for a choice that doesn't effect them, that's their problem and I feel using that energy to take a look at what causes(d) them to do it would be a much healthier expenditure of said energy.

I think their may be a niche market for these types of flowers. I spend way to much time in my head, I don't need the help of an introspective effect. I find it interesting that the one with less bag appeal tests higher. I'm looking at that as potential to keep such lines alive. More importantly though in hopes of keeping the gene pool healthy as a whole.

bag appeal. man kinda wild how much value people put into the appearance of the bud. then we burn it!
