The irony being that a Republican would be the last person one would expect to be caught in such a scandal. Being that Republicans typically portray themselves to be pillars of morality.

I know and preachers is another group that seems to be often guilty of the sins they preach against. I mean I don't follow any of them but I know there were quite a few big names that had falls from grace during my life time, Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker were good examples.
So, there is this girl, Virginia Roberts is her name. She is under a gag order by the Feds because she is involved in a case brought against a guy named Jeffrey Epstein. This guy is a rich fuck, and VERY connected. There is a picture of Prince Andrew with his arm around the girl, Virginia Roberts when she was 15. The picture was taken in London, I believe, after Miss Roberts was flown in to have sex with the Prince, because he had been introduced to Roberts at Epstein's "Orgy Island", his villa in the Virgin Islands, and Andrew liked it the first time so he asked for her again. She was being flown between Epstein's other estate in Palm Beach Florida, and these other spots, along with other young, very underaged girls who had been collected by Epstein's wife for the purposes of having sex with rich powerful influential men. Epstein provided private jet flights for all his guests, and everyone knew what awaited them when they got there. All the details of this really fucked up international underage child exploitation rape prostitution fuckery is well known. It is known the names of the men who went, how many times,(Bill Clinton flew on Orgy One 57 times. Weird names Like the OJ Lawyer Alan Derschowitz, Steven Hawking??? Derschowits made a big show when his name came out saying he was suing Miss Roberts but he shut the fuck up after the judge quickly reinstated the gag order after a brief opening and everything came out. And here's another thing: Epstein taped everything. They know it. The tapes have been referenced in the trial. I think they were turned over in evidence. People have seen them. Supposedly almost every politician, every self important elite insider crony corrupt parasite is involved. And they had to know they were being taped. When asked about Clinton by Miss Roberts why Clinton was there Epstein said," He owes me some favors". So these guys all know they have been compromised. They couldn't resist the allure of sex with 15 year old girls. And they gave up their freedom for it. Now they can be blackmailed. The whole system can be blackmailed. And it is. That's why shit doesn't change. They won't let it. They write the laws. They ignore the laws when it comes to them. The sad thing is this case represents one small window into the elite. And we see this. This horrible, evil thing that if we were doing it( you know, running a international underage prostitution racket) we would lose everything, and go to prison for eternity to be gang raped. And yet this is just one of the rackets being run right before our eyes that we refuse to see, or acknowledge because to admit that the people in high places are just common grifters and con artists, and governments and corporations have conspired to loot and pillage, taking all the wealth and leaving us all with the debt and ruins, would be really inconvenient.
The funny thing is that I don't think of being gay as a sin. I don't think of prostitution as a sin; it's just not for me. I don't think of smoking meth as a sin. A bad idea, probably, but not an immoral thing. Preaching to the world that gays are going to hell for being gay, and then hiring gay prostitutes to do meth with and have sex with, that's different.
Ted Haggard embarrassed himself and lost his preaching job. His personal scandal isn't the same kind of thing as Bill Cosby's situation. Paying for sex and doing meth with a 20 year old aren't exactly crimes compared to slipping a drug into a girl's drink and raping her when she passes out.

I didn't mean to suggest that preachers or politicians getting caught in sex and/or drug scandals is the exact same thing as what Bill Cosby is being accused of. I'm just pointing out that there are all sorts of bad conduct being committed by all manner of groups and people we look up to. Perhaps if we made them feel less like they can "do no wrong", these things wouldn't happen as much?
