GMT said:Given the time of day you ordered it, the order may not be processed until tomorrow, and weekends may not be included in next day delivery, so it could be monday now GM, could be a frustrating weekend this one lol.

CCronik said:Yea I wouldnt count on that, its taken HDTV about 10 years to get where it has. I would think it would take SED about the same amount of time to take off. One thing thats gonna help is the federal government is encouraging broadcasters and consumers to adopt HDTV as quickly as possible, so that analog transmissions can be phased out. Another 5 years and analog will be gone entirely.
You can get a $20 surge protector that has like $100,000 coverage if anything connected to it is damaged by a surge. $200 on a remote is ridiculous and unneccessary, and $200-300 in cables just means you're shopping at the wrong places. $500 for a stand? The one in that picture? I got my stand for $30, and not only does it hold my HDTV, it also grows weed. I'm not trying to start anything, I just don't want people to think that they have to spend anywhere near what you did in extras.Mr. Nevermind said:The cost of HDTV isnt where they get you, its all the cables and accesories. I spent a good bit on my TV ( 60' Sony Grand Wega) and ended up buying this $300 surge protector, a $200 remote, $500 on TV stand and another $200 in cables and $200-$300 on cables.
The end of analog signals does not mean the end of standard definition TV. It just means that by then, everyone that wants to watch TV will have to have a cable box on top of their TV from the cable company, or own a TV that has one built in.Mr. Nevermind said:I believe that the date set is April 2009 that analog TV signals will be turned off for good. It gives people plenty of time to go out and get an HDTV. So the end of regular TV is in alot less than 5 years, little less than 2 now. But by then HDTV's will be soo much cheaper, makes me regret me getting mine over a year ago.
