...bad news again:
i found two plants to be males on the thorn-shrub-spot; another one seems to be male as well.


So, after the MM had to be cut down as well on my last visit,
there are only two definitely female plants left on this spot!!!


I did not reckon with that!

Hazeo, if you don't mind me asking... Can you tell me a bit more about your nettle pond method?! How many litters is the hole for the water? How much nettle do you throw in the mix to ferment, do you keep adding nettle every time you check on the spot? Do you dilute that with any water before feeding?

Hope thats not too many q's!

Yes, i think they must have started budding until now. Haven´t been on spot1 (interesting one) since quite a while... soo i am rather curious about the next visit.
Sadly it started raining in my area a few days ago... hahahaha, watchin out of the window atm: A big storm is coming up...!
But our autumn will be dry at all *fingerscrossed*


Hey, i am happy to hear someone interested in my nettle pond
Dude, you will be extremely satisfied with that, you will see:

Normally i do the nettle-juice at home:

I fill a barrel/pot to the top with cutted (maximum 1ft long branches) nettles;
just throw them in there loose, no need to push em down.
--->it is important to use (or works best) with new fresher nettles that haven´t builded out blossoms.
Then fill the barrel with water that all nettles are covered.
Thats it overall; now you only have to stir it up thoroughly once a day (so more oxygen gets into the water, and it doesn´t start to stink sooo extreme; not necessary if you do it somewhere guerilla). You can add some stone flower and/or compost for better microorganisms.
Put the barrel somewhere outdoors on a climatic well ballanced place (not into direct sun/not into the fridge;-).
After 2-3 weeks the nettle-leaves will be dissolved by microorganisms and the juice is ready for use; just put out the branches, the rest you can water to your plants.
First i dillute the juice 1:10 with water to get the smaller plants used to it... after a while you can go up with the concentration until 1:2 or even 1:1 if necessary...


...same thing is with the pond: -How much water on how much nettles is hard to say, so just check that the nettles are covered with water...
everytime i visit the spot i grab some nettles that are standing somewhere on the way and add them to the pond...

Imho it is not sooo important how you exactly dose the juice after the plants have a certain size (1,5m or so); after that they are usually sucking eaway everything you give them.

You can add some other plants in that juice as well; comfrey is definitely a very good combination! -But imho altogether the nettle has the biggest potency in nutrients.

Hey guys,

you are welcome

No, don´t use the nettles in flower, there is some serious N in the juice!
I work with guano only, if going organic. At around 3 months before harvest i dig under some guano-powder (GuanaoKalong) around the stem.
If not going organic, i use some random bloom-fertilizers and molasses.
