Haze 26 purple/green female

Haze 26 purple/green female

Good vibes limeygreen and jingles!

My friend is at home quite better!

Here's another purple/green female, parental 26. One of my favourites. Probably the taller haze female and she's also very long flowering. But i like a lot her vigour and aromas. :yummy:

Haze 26, late december/early january

Haze 26 canna artillery. The small purple plant is a Philippine Kalinga

Hellava show Dubi:yes:

the PI kalinga is a chunky lookin sativa eh? have you had a chance to smoke any of that plant?

great news as well, big ups to OT1 and wolfman for maintainin the line and lettin er loose on the growers.

"It's old school columbian/thai weed from the 70s" OT1 haze only has the thai and lumbo in it, theres no brazilian or mexi in this line?

High esbe, raco, grassman and slips!

It's good to see good friends around!

Cedarberry, i have posted early Kalinga smoke reports in the Philippine thread. Female 1 is very promising!

About the hazes. It's very difficult to know the exact pedigree. Only people like Sam Skunkman and other people that were involved in the haze development can exactly know about it.

It's suposedly a mexican x columbian x south indian Kerala x thai, being the columbian/thai genetics more dominant in the final hybrid.

Green haze pheno is clearly influenced by south asian sativa genetics in the growing structure and flowering traits but the aroma is not like a classic thai or viet.

SE asian sativas are floral, lemony and bitter. Green haze aroma is darker, hashy/incense, and the background is not so intense, floral or bitter. It's more like a mature tropical fruit.

Purple haze pheno could be related to purple colombians but it's only speculation. I havent tried purple colombia personally, but purple panama i've grown (which is related to purple colombia) have many similarities with purple haze too.

We havent found any mexican expression in the haze population. Mexicans are usually symetric, bushy with short/medium internodes and relative fast flowering for a sativa. Mexicans are high yielding sativas and quite easy to grow.

Haze leaf and stems are thinner than pure mexicans. Growing structure is taller, lankier and asymetric. Flowering traits are different and flowering time is quite longer. Aromas are different too.

A north eastern brazilian would grow even thinner and lankier than haze. They could have some resemblance in the appearance but i havent found or heard about a brazilian that finishes completly purple/red. Manga rosa grows with pink/purple hues in the stems but flowers are not so dark and colorful like purple haze. NE brazilians are very sensitive to temp changes, they need very uniform temps between 25-30ºC to flower decently but hazes can resist quite low temps still producing good results.

I personally believe purple american sativa x SE asian sativas it's the most probable and dominant genetic combination in the haze. But who really knows!?

Haze 23 purple/green female

Haze 23 purple/green female

Most of the lower buds matured faster and have been harvested sinsemilla for smoking tests and hopefully for GC analyses in the next mounths.

The female top colas were pollinated by green haze male 6 and purple/green male 16 pollen. They are still maturing the seeds.

Unfortunatly i havent got harvest pics of all the females but will post pics of the remaining seeded colas if you are interested.

Here's another purple/green female. Haze 23. She likes to grow tall and lanky and flowers quite slow like most purple/green hazes.

Here's passing mid flowering

haze 23 finishing

mature green/purple flower and resin details
