Haze Experience.....

X

Xray Kimono

I LOVE Nevilles Haze but the trippiest I have found is a nice Colombian Sativa that I did some work on with Shiva Skunk. I called the results Wisdomatic because it puts you "in the zone". Very productive stuff with no edge.... Hard crash though...

Peace!

Nowhere near a pure Haze, but man, I've found some trippy and strong plants in S@nnies Sugar Punch. Would be curious to see what some of the die hards who have grown out the 100ish+ to find that one plant they love in the more pure lines would say about some of them.

I have grown out Zamaldelica regs I bought over a year ago. The Sugar Punch stacks up very favorably in trippyness, granted some hunting is probably required and the Zamal could have been grown better. They weren't grown horribly though in RLOS. Perhaps a bit starved by the end of their 100+ days.

Just my experience. I've read the Zamal fems it is easier to find a winner plant. I had 6 plants to work with. Didn't keep any of them. Didn't find a carrot smeller either. Most smelled kind of like dirt, one smelled like licorice and it was the best of all of them however it wasn't justifiable for me to keep given all considerations. I would rather grow more seeds (which I have) and find better. When I get more space it will be done. Along with my Tom Hill Haze's and some other longer flowering I have.

Also grown out NLxHaze - had 5 plants. One of them my buddy has kept alive for 3 years and he really likes it. It's got a harsh burn out at the end for me though and I hate that. Looks pretty and smells unique. Not a 10% er though IMO at all. I didn't have a problem killing it. I think he kept it in part because he could pull 3 a light with it very easily when he was aver aging closer to 1.5 at the time. He has pulled 4 a light with it now that he is running RLOS and much more dialed. It takes 12 weeks though. He pulls more from others now relative yield so I'm not sure it will stay around that much longer. Some people like it though.

Definitely have found what I would consider worthy 10%er phenos in that Sugar Punch though.. I suspect a lot of people here would agree, but I'm curious to know - especially if anyone has tried it before.

Also enjoying some of the early harvest of my Shackzilla which is the same SSH used in Sugar Punch x Shack (Shiva Shunk x S@nnies Jack). Very hazy flavors. Really nice effect. Most of the plants still need to come down though I've only sampled the early returns and they are not super trippy, although strong.

Oh, Sugar Punch is a major polyhybrid, but most plants seem quite good with the winners being eye popping.

My best past experience prior to the Sugar Punch smoking was probably one of the C99 family strains picked up off the street no name weed and then prior to that something we called bright green happy weed which I'm pretty sure was a haze skunk hybrid that reeked of skunk with sweet undertones. The latter (so was the former, but not quite in the same way - more paranoid, this one was pure bliss) was incredible. Still probably my favorite of all time, but the Sugar Punch is in that ball park so I'm happy about that.

I've ran two different SSH phenos. A 10 week and a 15 week. The 15 week was the real keeper, a true monster!!! Gave me great yields, not really dense but completely covered in resin. Gave me an extreme paranoid type of high the first time I ever tried it.

My other haze experience was an old east coast Mango Haze cutting I ran for about 3 years. Finished in 13 weeks with an impressive yield and a smell so overwhelmingly sweet, I still haven't come across another strain that smelled that sweet. No earthy overtone, no typical haze smell or taste, just 100% sugary sweet mango smell. Nowhere near as potent as the SSH but it was amazing for just getting you through a workday

I'm sorry I forgot to mention the SSH was from an old ghs release and the Mango Haze cutting had been gifted to me by a very old east coast grower

Thank you- I need to look into sugar punch :)

I think you'd find something pretty nice in 5 seeds. There are def some more indicaish phenos, but even those tend to be pretty heady.

Good luck on your hunt. I will continue mine, probably forever...

Skunk Haze....aka Bully

Here is a pic of Bully. She looks pure haze. The smoke is clean, burns smooth, and as close to as perfect high as I'll ever experience in my lifetime.

For your viewing pleasure.....Bully.

I have a cut of Greenhouse SSH that I have been cloning for close to a decade now... She is my only keeper... when she burns she smells like sweet incense.. she yields amazingly in 11 weeks.. low odor easy to grow... amazing plant all around.. Haven't found a pheno of anything that can compare.. and would be happy to hold it up to any clone only elite strain available today

SSH

Hola MrBungle, I found one like the one you mention. After a one month cure, she had the most beautiful cinnamon carmel look and flavor. She smoked just beautiful and on a level way up there on top of the mountain. Much to my good fortune, I crossed her to the Jamaican Lambsbread to keep her more pure sativa.

Thank You Huesos... Even when I was new to growing, I knew she was something special.... I would love to see her potential in a monster outdoor garden :)

Hopefully I am not going off-topic here, but IMO Bangi Haze gives any haze a run for it's money, even though it's not a real haze. Bangi has that soaring, clear and electric high many look for in a haze, but at significantly shorter flowering time. From seed it's more consistent too: I've found most pure haze or sativa-haze F1 phenos are rather heavy or dreamy, and only a few are truly electric (actually I've never found one myself, but Tom Hill has stated about 5 percent of his haze is electric). I never found a heavy Bangi!

Awesome Mostlyme. I have some Bangi Haze in the freezer courtesy of Charlie from years past.

I've noted the difference in wide leaf verses thin leaf. Wide leaf more sedated high in contrast to thin lead more up high.

Bully above is really close if not pure haze. Your looking at a benchmark holy grail type IMHO. I just got lucky she showed up.

Holy grail= a plant your lucky to experience only once in your lifetime.

I used to have a phenomenal SSH that came from a 97 or 98 GHS release. Not much stretch after flowering, very vigorous growth and very heavy yields at 14 weeks. Closest thing to a psychedelic high I've gotten from a strain with major paranoia the first time I ever tried it. Looked like a textbook haze in flower aside from broader than usual fan leaves for a sativa. Had minty, lemony smell with that sagey/catpiss smell. I was able to pollinate her with a blueberry before I eventually lost her

I cultivated a few haze genetics in the past few years; sash, Neville have and purple haze, I usually never grow the haze varieties. The only strain(including phenos) that was worth anything to me was the purple haze, I forgot the breeder.
It took awhile to start budding once flipped to 12/12, but when it did it was awesome. Very short plant, all deep purple leaves & buds were purple with bright orange pistils, very nice nag appeal. Smell was of grape mixed with a musk smell. Taste was the same? The potency was super fire, very unique haze type of high
