Dirt it seems to me they where not given a choice..I have wondered what would happen if they came and you didn't answer and where all fenced in with dogs out?would they come back with warrant?or if you just met at gate and told them no warrant no entry?

You're under NO OBLIGATION to answer your door, even if they know you're in there. If they have a warrant they'll break in. But there are different types of warrants. One for the arrest of people another for searches. So if they have a warrant for you and know you are in there, they can bust in.
If you don't want them on your property put a locked gate up and post no trespass signs where they can't be missed. If they come on your property get their names and badge numbers and tell them that they are trespassed from your property and notify their station by phone and by letter with 2 witnesses signing a copy for the police notice and a copy for you to file in court if you need to.
You're never under any obligation to speak to police and you can tell them that you've been advised not to answer any questions without your attorney present. They might not even be after you. The more crumbs they get the more likely they can harass someone over something like weed.
Always get their badge and name and station info. And you don't even have to give them your name or ID UNLESS they suspect you of committing a crime (in which case they WILL have a warrant), saw you committing a crime, or think you are about to commit a crime (like seeing a bank burglar getting ready to go in type of thing).
