You can get it cheap, millions use it world wide. Why do they want to suppress Ivermectin use so much? It's truly a natural wonder drug. But the goal is to treat sick people not to cure them.

It helps destroy them spike proteins, probably good for AIDs too.

You can even rock it up and smoke it, way better high than crack.

It's an awful lot of trust snorting an unknown white substance up your nose.

I want my Cocaine to be FDA approved !
I'd accept FDA-approved coke, but in the early 80s, before Reagan banned easy access to ether, and we were getting coke in quantity, straight off the brick, testing at ~92% pure, with a subtle golden glow under flourescent lighting, like gold flake dipped in powdered sugar, with no burn, no nose-bleeds, and ether, gas chromatography/mass spectrometry, and bleach-checked to reveal nothing but coca involved... that was good enough.

Then came the acetone and diesel production days, after ether became more scarce, and on rare occasion the loads being brought up north, sealed, carried inside fuel tanks of semi-trucks sometimes, might sometimes, on rare occasion breech, and though cleaned up, there was the very rare essence of diesel odor/flavor... That was a good time to cease doing coke, especially at the rates/volume we/I had been imbibing.

The buzz, via changed metabolism (personally speaking), had transformed anyway, from too much, too often, turning the surreal euphoric, sense of Leif Erikson on the Bow of a Viking ship, off to discover the world, with high-speed chatter, philosophizing into the wee hours of the morning, into ugly and tense paranoia, anxiety and weaponry, all at a high price per oz. for uncut.

That was the point of, "OK, that was fun. I'm done here." moment. Three years-plus of that was sufficient to change my metabolism forever, literally, but I had fun while it was happening. Don't regret much or any of it.

What ever the poor bastards are sticking up their noses today, back then, in 1983, the average gram of coke seized in the local bars in Alaska by State Troopers, and tested at their crime lab, was coming back at 8% to 11% coke. I -never- cut anything I moved. It came in at ~92%, and went out that way. It was a business ethic to be proud of.

But man, you could meet some strange folks at your door at 3:00 A.M when your coke was nearly the only coke in town that didn't have shit-tons of baby laxative, innert caine derivatives, or vitamin B on it.

I figure, converting one's Pharmacy Proceeds into long-term savings was just part of the job.

In the 90's, gold was $200-ish, so an OZ of pot for $240 - you get one ounce of gold metal for every OZ of pot that you bank.

In the 80's, gold was $800-ish.

Now, gold being about $1800, I would be tempted to ask $1800 an ounce for Cannabis, to get the 1 OZ of Gold.

But nobody would pay it.

The coke market went the other direction,. thanks to head-butting between the US Gov and the producers in the various countries refining coca leaf. That, and the fact that meth pushed an otherwise potentially respectable product into the bargain basement category in the SW USA.

Fairly cheap for relatively 'clean' coke in the SW US these days, and for the last long while, too, depending on who you know.

No longer my thing. I likely would have never come close to raising a family, even distantly properly, had I continued to imbibe coca at the volume we once did. And my metabolism will no longer handle the volmues I once ingested without serious consequences. Heart palpitations are never a pleasant recreational pursuit, imo..

When I tried it, it was from privileged white kids in Silicon Valley.

Whatever they had, it was a stimulant. Stay up all night kind of stuff.

It's a mistake to take it at night, if you value sleep.

I would like to try the tea and the leaf-chewing, the less refined more natural forms of the medication.

Good clean coke's about 1-1/2 to 2 hours euphoria at the maximum; shorter, even.
And half of the high is the dopamine rush telling you to do some more.

We called it a s'more drug. Like the campfire-made graham cracker treats, but because the initial impulse from the dopamine rush was to "do s'more."

Chewing dried raw leaf beat the snot out of coffee, and was very pleasant, lacking the more immediate rush of snorting lines of uncut cocaine, but very much effective and positive feeling..

A Peruvian fellow I knew in Los Anchorage would bring back bags of Mate' de Coca (tea), when he went home to visit family. Only once was he questioned fairly intensively by US Customs re. bringing in the tea when he would return with it, and on that occasion he told them it was recommended by his Doc for gastrointestinal issues, which was true. They let him slide. He was bringing back grocery bags of the tea at a time.
