My thread is totally for hijacking. It stirs the pot.
Those bigger pots will help see me thru next years outdoor, want to max out. ya know.
2 & 5's damn. That's a lot of soil. 40yards? Also what I've been thinking about today...really wanna bend an ear about it.

Need to start sourcing more compostables. Need to add manure, {saw dust}-possibly, and trailer load of mushroom scrap. Will pick-up "deck-mix" from two local soil places, $6/yd mix of all their compost and soils +little wood chips. Good base to build compost. If too wood chippy I'll screen out and mulch yard with.

Grab 4cuft of coffee grounds per week too. Worms love em.

Getting ready to move my worms from their various bins into the smart pot big bed. In it right now: Arugula is ready for it's fourth and final cutting. Maybe grow it out once more for seed/compostable/tea; the carrots next to it need a couple weeks. But they'll be happy in their roomy 13.5 cu ft bed. Have lots of shredded newspaper/leaves, rice hulls, , blended and fermenting food scraps, little bit of grass clippings and bread. And will sprinkle a compost/kelp/fish brew when all in place. When bed is running I'll input on left, collect on right.

Worms are the best partners you'll ever have.
Like your own fertilizer company.

I need to move my Worms in. I really need to up my worm game. Any suggestions to jump start a new worm bin or renew an old one? As of now I got a 1 foot by 4 foot wooden box with some holes in the side.

Could you use all the wood boxes from the vert coliseum. make worm tower with them. similar to the commercial plastic ones that're sold. Or use a large smart pot for their home.

to re-vigorate the bin. Blend up and slightly ferment the food going in. Lots of bedding. Add some green waste to help heat the bin during this cooler weather. Collect more worms from the yard--->lay damp card board down on ground, go back in couple days and scoop em up and/or from underneath any pots/containers that's already on ground.

Last night the bud was the show stopper for me!! Had taken couple sample nugs off the two hazes at the beginning of the week. The tall one has a great high to it, decent flavor. The lemon was spot on, made me feel so great this morning! Can't wait until it's actually done!!

The tall one was cut down this morning, all pistils have turned and it is mostly cloudy with light amber. Picked five caterpillars off it. they had a great last meal.

Kill the caterpillars. Nail them to a board. Put said board near plants. Or napalm. Teach them a lesson they will feel for generations!

Kill? board? you must eat them in front of their friends... eye for an eye.... they ate your plants, now you must swallow their souls.

I sense the presence of minions.
Body's on pikes, mashing of heads, draw and quartering, "sniff-sniff" brings tears to my burning eyes(quickly evaporated of course).

I like throwing some soil on them, let them dig their own graves first.
Then when they get that done, I start the waterboarding and low pain torture.
Once they've squealed off their buddies, then I cap them.
Then on the pikes for a friendly warning to others to vacate.
Makes feel younger, though still undead.
The good ole days.
