Emery was busted before OG went down and had nothing to do with that site, as I remember it he didn't like OG at all and OG didn't like him....I was the first ever sponsor of OG and actually arranged a server fund that bought OG's 2nd server.....then RC bought OG from foolgirl and nl420 and advertised his site Heaven's Stairway on it and still let me be a sponsor so long as I paid a fair amount every year......

That thread myself and Bubbleman made in Canada was call 'BC BUD......TO THE MAX!!'......and had me lying on the floor in this BC growroom taking some awesome pic's of these humungously massive 2lb+ yeilding BC Big Bud plants growing indoors under 930 watt sodium conversion bulbs that were suspended at intervals without shades vertically not from the ceiling but midway down in the room so that all the side branching buds got maximum lumens......the ceiling and walls were completely covered in mylar so that the plants also had plenty of light on the tops......yeah.....would be absolutely fantastic to be able to get hold of those gems of threads again......

Yea Emery was always on that other site what was it?Cannabis culture or something?They used to be a pitiful competitor to OG.I feel so fortunate to have purchased my magic box in 1999 and found OG pretty quickly,hard to miss when you're googlin everything you can think of that has to do with erb lol.Some experienced and more importantly patient growers on OG.Anyone remember Measure G the soil master.Man I owe a lot to him,what a together soil grower.And str8jacket too

Yes I agree.....it went down in february 2006 as I re-call.....I lost alot of posts, pics and friends as you and many others did...

...but recently I have had word that the servers and hard-drives were spared from the grasp of the powers that be....and their is a distinct possibility that OG might be revived within the not too distant future......fingers crossed....

Honestly Gypsy even if it did get revived it won't change things for me. I'm happy here and that's where I'll stay.

Though I wasn't a regular poster, OG was a massive source of inspiration and information for me back in my college days.

I didn't grow for a few years, and when I came back to the online community to learn again, was shocked to find OG gone, as the last time I used the 'net for growing info was probably 2003.

I think the reason I ended up settling here at IC is because it reminded me of browsing OG, with a similar range of hugely experienced peeps, only too happy to help people grow. I dip onto other ganja websites if I'm looking for specific info, when Google throws up a link to them, but really, even if OG was back now, IC is the #1 source of up to date knowledge!

Growing up I heard how cool the 60's were. Hearing about it just wasn't the same. I had to be there. Overgrow was my "60's" I am so happy to have experienced it. It was such a perfect storm of knowledge meeting community.

i miss OG, i remember the 1st purple i saw was from a guy named somablaze i remember everyone saying its dyed blah blah blah and then everybody started coming with purple all over

RC didn't buy it from ~shabang~ ? Exactly how many people owned Overgrow over the years? 4? I liked RC because he changed my name from sw1shaman back to swishaman (after sw1shaman account was banned for age )

And yeah, I remember the 2lbs big buds.... that was a pretty sick setup, didn't you have to get on yer hands n knees to get in that room?

That's just an example of the sweet articles/threads you did back in the day... I want to read the Thailand (i believe?) story again... I think it started with you going to a hotel/housing of some type, you went downstairs/somewhere close and ate Curry (goat?)... you asked your cab driver if he knew anything and he drove you up the street. How I remember that much, i have no clue. I myself was really shocked to remember the Curry.. Miss those stories :|

That was Somablazes Blackberry, which he found in bag seed IF I remember correctly. It won Pic of the Month, setup in a nicely themed photo. Crown R. box, empty jar of blackberry jam.

though he passed away sometime before overgrow went down.


i can still see that picture clearly in my head. people did argue a lot about photoshopping also lol...

No RC did'nt buy O.G. from ~shabang~ because ~shabang~ never owned O.G. he was a VERY talented coder that was paid to make O.G. as good as it was....he had no real ownership of the site as I re-call.....

These days I attempt at keeping a bit of a lower profile with my life and what I post, seeing as so many of the major players have been busted by the powers that be....kinda sad really....I had alot of posts and adventures and pics on OG that I did'nt back up..(silly me)....thats one of the reasons why I would be more than interested to see it up on the net again.....

Yes the Karma system was shabangs invention. In fact
Vbulleton bought the copyright to it or something like that. I know he was compensated for it so vbulleton could incorporate it. Back in the day you could see ~S~ old posts on the vbulleton forums when he was making some of the 'tweaks" to OG.

OG opened my eyes in 2002 (along with CW). Although I never registered, I read for a year or so and bought my first pack of beans from Heaven's Stairway in 2003.

I'm still learning and I'm grateful to have ICM today (even though the search function leaves much to be desired ).
