I just had it cut but its still too long for that 'business' look that I ought to have, probably 5-6 inches. I used to buzz it to like a #3 a few years back but I have been just letting it grow since around the time I started smoking herb a lot. Someone actually asked me once "When you start smoking, do they make you grow your hair?"
I always avoid getting it cut at all costs because 1 - I share the board's phobia/general dislike of hairdressers and 2 - I actually have nice hair that doesn't get all nappy and curly. I need another change of pace now to get away from that hippie look though...not sure what to do.

I had dreads for lots of my life...dreadlocks are actually the only hairstyle that I like even tho I now rock the good 'ol crew cut. ("bounty29" PM me if ya have any questions...I do consider myself a bonafide expert on dreads, as I have dreaded just about every single hair type that there is...it was an obsession of mine for quite a while)

I first had dreads when I was about 11 or 12 years old and didn't cut them 'til I joined the USMC at age 18.

when I got out of the USMC I dreaded my hair again, but I started 'em when my hair was too short and I didnt like they way they formed so I cut them after 3 years.

now I just whip out the clippers every saturday morning and buzz it down w/ a #1 w/ the guard a short as possible...same w/ the facial hair (buzz cut beard to match)

IUTG good ta see ya bro!
