Would it be possible for any of us to go to the Philippines and pay a visit to Gypsy?
Is he able to receive letters from non-family? If so what is the address?
Would it be possible to telephone Gypsy?

Do we have any updates on his situation that can be posted here?

Yes,pretty easily,I will be in Manila later this year,I hope he isnt still in clink,it would be good if he was out by then, but if he isnt I will pop in,take him the local papers etc as he used to live around this neck of the woods, and crumb of comfort, news from home in such situations is a spirit lifter.

I;m pretty sure you would be able to visit a prisoner in jail there if you go about it in the right way, but those in an Immigration holding center may be subject to different rules, so......if anyone here with actual contact with GN right now knows what's up, please pm me (I don't actually have enough posts to be able to be PM-ed, but those who know, have the power here to do so) I live in an nearny country and could and would like to visit...thanks in advance

Bureau of Immigration headed by OIC Siegfred Mison fails miserably to deport British Fugitive.

In a Sept. 01, 2013 Manila Bulletin article, http://www.mb.com.ph/bi-nabs-british-fugitive/, OIC Siegfred Mison arrogantly bragged that an alleged British fugitive would be turned over to USA marshals and deported to the USA without following due process.

BI commissioners, violating a foreigners right to due process, rushed to issue a summary deportation order without giving the Briton a hearing, paved the way for the Britons attorney to file a Habeas Corpus.

BI OIC Siegfred Mison on Sept. 14, 2013, tried to illegally deport the British citizen to the USA without having an Extradition order, this sad attempt failed miserably when the British citizen refused to board the USA bound plane without any USA marshals or escorts. BI officials shamefully had to return him to Bicutan detention center. Immigration law dictates that a foreigner must be deported to his country of origin or nativity or the last port of call.

This paved the way for the British citizen's lawyer to file a Writ of Certiorari along with a temporary restraining order/injunction against the Bureau of Immigration. BI OIC Siegfred Mison, an attorney, again proves that BI commissioners habitually deny foreigners due process of law and violates human rights.

The Writ of Certiorari filed by the British citizen declares in detail the numerous violations of due process and failure to follow the Philippine constitution as well as the BI Rules and Regulations.

The Bureau of Immigration has been scolded by President Aquino and called them "SHAMELESS" in his 2013 SONA speech before the nation.

BI consistently embarrases the Philippines and scares off tourist and investors, as proved by a recent travel and investment advisory by China for reason of corrupt BI officials extorting money from Chinese travelers to the Philippines.

It fairly obvious that BI OIC Siegfred Mison has been promised an all expenses paid (holiday) "training" in the US from Uncle Sam for ignoring the law....the good news is that they wouldn't be trying to illegally force Gypsy on that US bound plane if they had a strong case (it's obvious they haven't so they resort to sneaky shit), so hang in there mate, it's just a matter of time and the attempt at extradition will be thrown out.

keep us informed Buddymate!

The US DOJ feels that regardless of the strength of their case against Gypsy, they would be able to force him into a plea deal while he is in custody.

That's their typical thug tactics. A pox on them and their families. The feds are scum. I think Gypsy has a good case. He must be extradited to the U.K, if anywhere, despite what happened to Mark Emory. The feds don't play by the rules, but they expect us to. Pathetic. I don't think there is a lower form of life than the DEA.

I don't know Gypsy personally, but I know he shouldn't be in jail for a plant. I wish him the best of luck in his legal battle. Someday people will look back on this and wonder how it could have happened. How could they put someone in jail over seeds people love to grow in their gardens?

I so hope the man can go home to his loved ones. Those who advance the cause of cannabis should be commended, not prosecuted.
