Growing with the Borg

So about a week ago I turned on my robotic garden would you like to see the future of growing? You’re in the correct thread. Since Cocoforcannabis is not doing grow journals any more I will create one here. Check my previous grows there to see the evolution of my Borg tent grow. A little about this system, it is completely automated, it makes nutrients automatically. It controls the environment automatically it automatically fertigates the plants. In my tent I am the architect (Matrix) yes I designed all the controls, and electronics except for the AC Infinity environment controls. Here is pics of the system.

I am still working on the doser my 3d printer is a bit under the weather but it will be fixed today. Let’s have a look inside the tent.

These plants are 8 days old. Growing in pure coco coir, with General hydroponics flora trio line. From the dashboard I can see the plants and almost every aspect of the grow. I can even see the water content of my media, temperature, and EC.

The reservoir is temperature controlled, and uses a unique fertigation system that only 3 people have the joy of owning. Enough about the system the plants that are growing are 3 Banna Runtz x Troppical Cherry, and 3 Goth Girls by Seeperson 1. Oh and I can control the system or check up on it anywhere I have internet connectivity. I travel for a living so in order to grow I have to be able to do it remotely.

So one last piece I want to design and build is a mini ac for a 4x2 tent about 3,500 btu heat pump probably looking at a DC brushless scroll compressor. @ARTofMAKINGfire

It has almost been a week, let's peep in on the young seedlings to see how they are doing in the borg tent.

The growth is looking great. This is probably my best grow yet, as they are firing on all cylinders. They are drinking at full strength, however it takes about a week for the nutrients to reach the media sensors. Fertigating 60ml into 1/4gal fabric pots and I have been hardening them off. DLI is at 26, and they are getting about 360 uMols over 20 hours. Co2 is being injected starting today at 1200 ppms. Pretty soon it will be time to pot up and probably flip these plants into flower. I have 6 plants and 3 are feminized so they will quickly overun the tent if I am not careful with them. I could top them next week and get more colas.

We have transplanted up, into 1 gallon air pots and the borg cube is now active as I am now on the road. The borg cube is operating the grow now.

Here is how the plants are looking we are going to start the flip in 3 days.

They are a little sad I think I did some root damage, when potting them up.

Now onto the pride and joy of the grow borg cube a 12 channel dosing system designed for home grows.

All 12 channels had some issues with my 3d printer so I couldn't do the multi color printing to put the channel numbers in.

Custom designed controller board. Yes this is a 100% XYZVector production developed the controls mechanical the electronics and software.

Finall resting place it is about to get plumbed up with the nutrients running GH Trio with Armor/SI, Cal/Mag, Diamond Nectar and H2O2 as the supliments.

Hey the borg never simplify anything!!! lol I agree it is very complicated, but I can be an absentee grower. I have spent months away from my tent and grow fire. When you cannot look at the plants see the nutrient water or do anything directly with the tent it makes things overly complicated.

Your system needs to be displayed in a magazine. I even think there is a small market for it.

It needs to be simplified before it is ready for public consumption. There are so many buttons dials and switches if I didn’t build it myself I wouldn’t know how to work it.

Try? goto coco for cannabis and see all my succesfull grows with my automation. Try not do my yong padawan. And reviewing my old grow journals on Cocoforcanabis.com. I am knocking this one out of the park. It's sad you cannot do grow journals over there. They got spammed to death and had to shut it down. I know DrCoco personally he is running one the first one of the borg cube dosers. He loves it, and swears by it, and what it does for not having to mix nutes.

Okay time for an update, plants have now been flipped to flower. I am showing a slight iron defficency. I have been battling with my resivors PH I put in at 5.6 and still my PH sits between 6.0up to 6.5 I am finally home, and I think a res cleaning is in order. I checked the PH sensor and it didn't need a calibration and the plants are showing that it is not the sensor. Like a pilot flying thru a thunderstorm you must trust your instruments.

Doser has made 10 batches since I left. However the PH has been floating between 6.0-6.5 and staying closer to 6.5, in the reservior. I am seeing some sedimentation at the bottom, and the begining of bio film forming. I am just glad my reservior is not under my tent like it was before this grow. It really sucked getting it out if it needed cleaning.

Other than my ph issue everything seems to be firing on all cylinders. Oh I also had one other problem my old ec sensor I have been rocking is 2 years old gave up the ghost. It was not stablizing and the cable had a weird kink in it (broken or damaged wire).
