Exactly! I used to worry, fret, set up extensive fail safes (blumats), yada yada. Now I take and start cuts, do what I can for mothers without too much concern, then come back and see what the situation is. When I’m gone a week or more I usually trash the mothers and am ready to pot the cuts on return. This method has saved my strains a couple times while vacationing. If everything is fine after, i give a friend a clone.
I wanted to ask you about this setup, looks well thought out.. diy, is that led tape light ?Nice tutorial. This works even on a MUCH smaller scale. I use the shot glass version of the red solo cup, hole 1/3 way up, and filled with perlite. My cuts are only 2" tall and I use a small seed propagating tray and dome. It works great!

Thanks for the replyWow, talk about a blast from the past! Yes, those were just some LED tape. It was on top of my T-5 fluorescent veg light. You really don't need a lot of light to root clones.
Today, I use coco and a full sized tray and dome, but mostly the same thing.
