Works great.

Success rates in soil dropped for me and the bubbler was too noisy.. so i tried this tek.

First test with roots in 10 days!

A few more days for longer roots would've been good but transplanted today.
The clones did not loose one leaf and i only used tap water. Used a heating mat with a probe in the perlite, taking the dome off two or three times a day for venting and opened the vent holes of the dome completely at the second day. There is plenty of humidity because of the water so need to worry about it really.
Instead of Clonex i used an organic rooting powder and will stick with it.

Thank you all for sharing! ☮️

This method has saved my strains a couple times while vacationing. If everything is fine after, i give a friend a clone.
Exactly! I used to worry, fret, set up extensive fail safes (blumats), yada yada. Now I take and start cuts, do what I can for mothers without too much concern, then come back and see what the situation is. When I’m gone a week or more I usually trash the mothers and am ready to pot the cuts on return.

I’ve also noticed the cuts sitting far back from the T5HO (~14/10 schedule) will start to flower if I leave them 3wks or more. I’ll start using this to sex new plants and kickstart my longer-flowering plants.

Peace

Wow, talk about a blast from the past! Yes, those were just some LED tape. It was on top of my T-5 fluorescent veg light. You really don't need a lot of light to root clones.

Today, I use coco and a full sized tray and dome, but mostly the same thing.

Thanks for the reply 👍 I'm thinking along a similar line :huggg: appreciate the help! This was one of the better cloning threads I was able to find 8 - 9 years almost a decade old and still relevant 👏
