It is done and jarred. So I have one plant in the freezer for ice water hash and I have the other cut, dried and jarred for curing. This grow turned into a difficult one – especially for someone as distracted as me. I had some cal/mag issues (self-induced) and I had budrot on one plant before maturity. I will blame that one on the climate and the lack of real climate control in the grow area. The plant that I did bring to term was healthy with some immature seeds appearing in some of the lower larf. It had very dense buds which made trimming a real chore – about double my normal flow. The return was very good – albeit less one whole plant. I will update this thread with a smoke report.

Conclusion: This strain appears sensitive to humidity and the hermie seeds might mean that it is not as stable as it could be. And the trimming detail required would make it quite impractical for commercial growing.

So I have one plant in the freezer for ice water hash

So . . . that plant in the freezer was hashisized. ;)

I used my washer as usual but this time I decided to try to run it with minimal ice cubes. In a Frenchy vid he comments that you want the water to do the job - not the cubes - because the cubes are brutal bashing the buds which means more plant matter in your final product. I wrapped the washer in a towel to insulate it and put ice cubes and water in a cooler to chill for 20 minutes. When the water was really cold, I retrieved the bag of bud from the freezer and I scooped the cold water into the washer with only a couple dozen cubes and I let this chill for another 20 minutes. Then I did a 3 minute wash, dumped but saved the ice water and reused it for a 2nd 4 minute run. I collected at 160u, 75u, 45u and 25u. After squeezing it dry, it was frozen for 4 days and then I micro-planed it onto a non-stick cookie sheet for a couple of days of air drying.

I hot bottle rolled the 73u and the 45u/25u combo separately à la Frenchy and I ended up with a couple of nice chunks to age for a few months. I sampled the 160u and I can confirm that it does the job!
