Growing in aprtment?

How often do the "spray for pests" or need to check out the apartments of tenets. I live in a "luxry" apartment complex. its pretty nice, but not amazingly nice. I just moved in and I don't want to ask a suspicious question like that. Whats every one elses experiences? Id be doing the grow in a bathroom in the master beedroom. just concerned about random check ups. and giving 24hours notice dosent mean anything either because I still have to dsstroy my plants. I am wondering if within a 5 moth period if they will need to spray for bugs or check shit out....

Just tell them that you don't want any pests sprayed for because it fucks with your lungs or some other hippy reason why you don't trust modern chemicals ect.




but alot people request not to spray because of, kids, animals ect.

don't use the bathroom, or the washer/dryer room, those two places in addition to the A/C are typically the only things they look at unless they are suspicious of something

Yep, in my Luxury Apartment...I just told them that I didn't want anyone in to spray. When they needed to do a 'scheduled visit', I asked to set up a time with me due to privacy concerns. That way, you set the tempo. Also, let them know they need to contact you if they need to make a 'maintenance visit'. They can still go in, but at least they will call.

Yeah I wouldn't grow in a bathroom of an apartment. If there is a plumbing emergency they may not even give any notice. You're better of growing in an area of your apartment that they have no business looking through, like a closet.

I will be growing in an apartment closet next year. I just turned in the apartment application today. Just plan on keeping oder controlled.

I really dont have any privacy if they want to come into my locked bedroom. even if you shits in a closet if they go into your apartment in that room I still wouldent want to chance keeping plants after some ones been in their next to my grow room

I had the spraying issues at an apartment complex years ago. They sprayed every month in most of the apartments. I went to the leasing office and told them I was allergic to it (noble lie). They took my apartment off the list for those to spray. Simple as that.

hit or miss with the apartment i think. used to live in a luxury condo (not super nice either tho) and never had anyway come check. only people that were around were landscapers and maintenance people. called our own people to do work in the house.

i think if its a reasonably nice place and you arent really young they prob wont even think of it.

doesnt matter if it is in a bathroom inside of the master bedroom...any plumbing emergencies above or below you will cause them to enter your bathroom and they like to check for mold in there since it is a moisture prone area...also where i live occasionally they enter to check the smoke detectors and any sprinkler systems if you have them...however i have none in my closet...which is why i choose a closet...if they stick their heads in there...they better have a good excuse...i don't let them get away with funny business...i know what can and can't be done and I make sure that they are following it to the letter

an apt is really risky man. maybe you should just wait. how many plants do you have going? also im pretty sure they have to get all the apts inspected once a year... so atleast one during a year long contract. but think of getting a 5 day notice and having to kill everything... then starting over.. and possibly doing it several more times that year... not to mention you will have to fix everything yourself because im sure you do not want the handy man in your grow

I've don a few apt grows and I found it EXTREMELY stressful, to many variables to go wrong. Won't do it here anymore. Like Bobby S says rent a shitty house instead.

I would have to agree with smokerman and bobby, stay away from apparment grows. Too much stress and unneeded concern. Rent or buy a house! Unless ofcourse your grow is very small.

Renting/leasing a house, condo or apartment is very difficult. Many of us have gone that route at one time or another and may of us have interesting stories to tell.

The housing market is in the crapper, so pool your stoner buddies and buy a house with a FHA 3% down payment loan. That way you run the show, not living in some unenlightened property manager building with a full set keys...

i dont have stoner friends, Non of my current friends that havent moved that I hang out with smoke. I don't consider myself a stoner anyways as I dont smoke every day and I think that term makes pot smokers sound bad, like an alchoholic. I'm wondering how many people out their are growing in an apartment. A farely decent nice apartment complex with non shady upscale management runing the complex. How many people in this catagory are growing without problems?

There are risks, but it's not that difficult. If you're intelligent about day-to-day situations that might arise your odds of getting caught are slim.

Here here, for most my life as well as all of my friends. It's also important to note what part of the country you live in. Where I live currently 9 out of 10 people could walk into my apartment, stare at my grow tent and still not have a clue wtf it was and just keep on walkin.
