ok thanks, i would of kept using it lol. you think they should be fine with just the aero nutes? or should i buy something else? also i ordered auto ak47 x deisel from lowlife, hopefully that is a good strain.
Kyle, For your first grow I'd just stick with the aeronutes. I've grown those they are easy to grow they were slow starters but had a very decent yield.
i agree. i wouldnt know when or how much to use of anything else. quick question how long will it take to show the sex considering i just changed the lights yesterday? 2-3 weeks?
Kyle, You should be able to tell in 2 weeks do you have a loupe? I'm going crazy trying tp figure where mine got too(G)
Doug, I don't think so but I have extra CFL's that I have in my grow space but truthfully I don't think I need them.
Rose, that's good to know. You have been very helpful. I have the deluxe aerogarden and two females, its lights reach 24". I started with 4 seeds but had two males. One female is trying to outgrow the light system, instead of raising the light I have been bending in pretty good. The flowers look great, lots of pistils, but not a lot of mass development. It has been about two weeks since I have started the 12/12 cycle. How much longer do you think it is going to take. The plants themselves were planted on Dec. 25th. Crystals are starting to develop, which is promising. I do need to know what kind of nutrients to give them though. I have been feeding them 1 large aero-garden nutrient tablet twice a week. Do I need to increase it, decrease it or stay the same? The pistils seem a little on the yellow side. I live in Canada so I am not able to get them much C02 right now because of the cold. Any suggestions Rose, would be greatly appreciated. I would also like you to see them so I will post some photos tomorrow. Thank you very much for your time and help.
Doug, Depending on the strain you've got another 6-8 weeks (I am assuming they are non autoflowering) before they will be done tying her down was an excellent move I wasn't able to with my two non AF's and had to transplant them today in soil they'll probably die but I didn't have much choice. If yours do get too big even with the lst'ing you may have to remove the hood and rig up a couple of CFL's. If you can get your hands on some blooming nutes like FoxFarm's Big Bloom or Open Sesame you can add them but use it only at about 1/4 teaspoon about once a week and if you do then back off the aero's nutes to two large tablets every other week so that one week you use FF the next the aero nutes.
Kyle a loupe is a tiny magnifying glass that jewerler's typically use they are 30x magnification less then $10 on amazon you can get stronger magnification but you really won't need it. You use it to gauge the readiness of your buds once you get close to harvest by inspecting the trichs (those are the white crystals you seed on the buds) you'll want them to be cloudy with about 1/2 of them being amber. It's not a must have especially for your first grow but something you'll eventually will want.
once again thanks rose, ill definitly be getting one because itsounds veryyy handy. and yea hoosierdaddy they are everywhere. im going to continue using mine untill i fully understand everything for growing
i agree man. i cant wait to try out the auto flowers i ordered. should be good. i cant wait just to see if what i have in my aero now is female or not lol
yea i gave it some aero nutes yesterday they sproutedup alot more, to the point where the big one was like on the light, so its a little burnt, is this bad?
I have an aerogarden and the reservoir is way too small. I had 2 romaine lettuce plants that required topping off every other day. I would hate to see what some ganj plants actively growing would do.
Kyle, Should be okay are you able to raise the hood or are you at its max? You may need to start tying them down some to keep them away from the lights.
it can go up maybe one or 2 clicks ill check when the lights go on, also rose, tie them down. how do i go about doing this? i know they are going to get bigger but yea if you can tell me how to it would be much appreciated
Jack, I agree but with autoflowering strains they rock in an aerogarden and its great for germinating seeds and cloning. I just had to transplant two that turned out to not be autoflowering into soil and they are doing fine.
Kyle, I take some pictures of tying it down and post it tonight.
