In some states, the US gov. gives grants (=$$) for simple possession arrests, even in states with medical Cannabis laws.
(something I would like to get more evidence on.)
I think in general it's OK, as long as you pay in cash and keep it anon.
When I started it was against the etiquette to mention Cannabis. Now it seems to be OK.
I think it's wise to avoid conversations with LEO about cannabis cultivation. So, you put the rockwool cubes in the trunk, no the back seat. Works out better if you're pulled over !

LR go from sprouted seed to harvested plant in 65-75 days, even under 24 hours of lights on, there's no stopping them from maturing and so no way to clone them, no matter what it's still going to flower and never revert back to vegetative growth.

I think it's justified and healthy to be cautious. Although, personally, I don't see any reason not to visit a hydroponic grow store in non-med states for a couple of reasons ...
A: anyone can buy most everything you need to grow indoors successfully from Home Depot online...

B: They sell off-brand junk at HD so, walking into a hydroponics store and buying the name brand gear definitely is not a crime. and shouldn't even be suspect.
Just be smart about it and play the part.
what I mean by that is ... and I've seen people like this in my local hydro store before ... walking in looking like thugs with their fitted hat turned sideways, sagging pants, drivin' a whip sitting on Shaq's shoes, growing "tomatoes" in coco with Canna brand. those guys might have fit a profile that LEO, if they were even watching, were looking for. or, if LEO has contacted the store owner, then the owner is looking for.
walking in looking like (just for an example) a trendy vegan hipster wannabe farmer , talking about the trendy vegan hipster rare heirloom cultivar vegetable seeds you recently acquired, that need a specific environment because they're from a tribe of Galapagos islands natives or something like that ... you might fit a different, more legitimate profile.
It's definitely good to have a back story because, I don't care whether it's the hydro store, the local nursery, the farmer's supply/feed store ... even Home Depot, they all always ask me "whatcha growin'?" . I can be as tight lipped and introverted as I want to be, but I swear as soon as I say one word to these guys that's the first question they ask me. especially, if I start making large purchases ....

in austria u can hear it sometimes that people get busted when buying in shops that sell cuts. if u walk out with a big box of cuts they picture u or maybe follow u home.
a lot of guys i know get their cuts bought by friends and take em from their place.
