hey grey that shot of the mtf looks killer bro. you been workin with it for awhile now too heh. bro i believe the coco can be flushed in the 3 to 4 day range but no sure about the actual plant. i've done many with the 3 to 4 day and even some with a 1 to 2 and not noticed any bad taste. but i got a couple strains going this time that are almost at the end of a 12-14 day flush and havent noticed any signs of yield loss or delay in finish. just light colored super frosty nuggs. the only thing i add is molasses to the flush till day 10 or so. man those girls in the 5galls are gonna be trees!

on your clearex question, it helps but isn't completely necessary. if you do use it, dont use much. on a previous grow, i used it in 3 consecutive waterings to flush and it flushed them too much and cause some weird colorings on some tops. id say maybe use it once and then continue flushing with straight water.

very impressive grow greyskull. You seem to have the grip of coco which is something I am still working on. I have not tried flowering with coco yet but I have vegged for quite a while and there always seem to be a problem with my girls. What do you keep your ph at? For veg I have to add phosphorous to my solution because the same amount of coco A+B seems to lack in P for some reason. Have you ever ran into this problem before?

Wazzappening DHF? Man, got that tune in my dome! Its good to know I am not the only one giving my ladies lower amounts of nutes - can't remember if it was Jorge Cervantes or Greg Green who wrote the book I read that in.... but its worked out pretty good for me thus far.I max out my girls at 1400ppm week 6. Like you, I top off my rezies dialy with H2O also - wanna make sure all those expensive nutes I add are taken up!
I learned my flush technique (H2O+SWEET for 7 days) from a good friend who's been growing commercially in the Emerald Triangle for 15 years... its worked pretty good for me, and he always gets top dollar for his crops. IF IT AIN'T BROKE DON'T FIX IT, RIGHT? I think I was just a little too high yesterday over analyzing that next step... its sooo easy though taking big bong rips of the SDxBX3 :bongsmi

Im using canna coco and I usually start at 1.0 and work my way up to 2.0 EC. I also use cal/mag but its the cheap brand. Are you using cal/mag plus by botanicare?

GROW UPDATE
I transplanted my 3 coco moms tonight. Instead of going with the 5g I used 3g containers that were right there when I reached. They are the same diameter (11"), so I think things will work out rather nicely.
Before I transplanted I went thru each girl and pruned her real good. The middle of each plant is nice and open and there's no spots for little junk to accumulate.

These ladies are gonna get a dedicated 1000w over them for 2-3 weeks, then they'll be dropping into the lane to finish. I will be doing an experiment with these 3 - no CANNABOOST. I wanna see if that $100 per L makes $100 per L difference (I use 1L BOOST per 4x4 grow).... everything will be duly noted, of course.


MTF TABLE
My MTF's at day 55 are disgusting! They keep blowin up! I'll take pics after lights off, but my word the big super colas have buds growing out their sides! The damn girls are just exploding with bud! The trich's are looking 60% cloudy 20% amber 20% clear, and the hairs are about 40% red/brown. I think these ladies could/should go 65. I would LOVE to see 50-60% amber stalks and caps! I wish... maybe next time I have to chop them down - bills to pay... fuckin bills.

SDBX3/Purple Kush/GDP
This group is almost at week 6. While both the GDP & PK smell excellent, the SDBX3 just dominates! And she is sooooo much juicier, too. And frostier... so much frostier.... I may be going out on a limb here because I haven't fired up either my GDP or PK cut, but I'll betcha she's dankier, too! As per above, pics will be done when lights go out. THIS GROUP IS GONNA GET THE FULL 63 day RIDE

I did this Bubba Kush in a 3G pot + BOOST. She yeilded me 80g when chopped at 49 days (7 day flush).
I think this makes for a good comparison plant, agree?

Everythng else is the same... same size plant, same size container, and hand watered, too. Hey, I don't have to chop this one down at 49 for the comparison to be fair, right?

That was my first time growing her. I am told its done at 60... all her hairs were red by week 5 (not that that matters or means anything). I had to go out of town for a week and didn't have anyone to take care of my hand watered plants while I was away... so she was chopped and then dried while I was away. That's why she only got to go 49. I got a really nice cut and am looking forward to seeing how she does at the reccommended 60 - she smoked sooo killer for being chopped that early (she did get a 7 day R/O water only flush).

What up RxLurk?Thanks for stopping by. When I am hand watering my plants, I make sure to ALWAYS FEED THEM... in veg I'll hit 'em every other day or so (I like the coco a little bit on the drier side - they grow better IMO); in flower they get their sustenance daily.

GROW UPDATE

I let the MTF go an extra day (57). I am for sure to let them go 63 next time, for sure.... but lets see these harvest pics, yeah? YES!

I do my harvesting in stages.
A couple of days before the final chop I complete my PREHARVEST... I remove as many fan & sugar leaves as I can using my hands without having to dig into the buds to pull leaves out. IF IT HAS TO BE DUG OUT IT STAYS PUT. I pretty much clear up the top 1/3 of each branch (so I don't have to run the top colas over the Trimbox too much). Here's how they look afterwards:


Then comes harvest day! The branches get cut off and its time to face the trimbox for a little visit. Because the tops were pretty much manicured I focus the trimbox work on the bottom 2/3 of each branch... looks a little rugged now but those jagged leaves will get cleaned up after a day or 2 of drying. It'll be way easier to get at them then (and they'll fall right out).


This is 4 plants worth of branches on the table

And the same 4 plants hanging up ready to go into the closet. MTW I love my HEAVY binger... I've had her a year and she's the best b-day present I've ever gotten!

Here's a shot of all 12 plants hanging up in the closet.


I swear this is the biggest run of MTF yet... at least 600g, for sure. 650g seems possible... maybe even 700g! THESE ARE SOME HEAVY HEAVY HEAVY BUDS.

Still some work to do though... after a few days of drying I am gonna do a final "style" on each bud removing the remaining leaf, then they'll be weighed before jaring. More pics to come....
