Greetings from the Southern tip of Africa.

Hello and welcome friend. You could build a windbreak for those plants.
Cp,Unfortunately my piece of land is on a mountainous slope and we have 2 strong prevailing winds here and they blow from opposite sides, the strongest one blows up the slope, but that thought is under investigation for a long term solution like a hedge windbreak.

Do you have guys have Alnus (genus) in South Africa? , the best for windbreaks, upright fast growing trees, non invasive root system

LndRclvr, I try only allow indigenous plants, proteas and fynbos to grow on my property as that is what grows wild here. I have made some exceptions like my olive trees, mini citrus orchard but I'm quite stricked as I want all the indigenous animals to stay on my property and they will move if I start planting alien trees, but thanks for the thought.

That's it, lovely picture, looks like it was taken from 1 of these inner city suburbs, Higgovale, Gardens, or Tamboerskloof.
Oranjezicht. The Cape Riviera Guest House which fronts onto the Molteno Reservoir. We were only down that way during one trip but we fell in love with camping in Kruger, so we went back there for two more trips. The smell of elephant dung on the lowveld is intoxicating, y'know.
