@vermontman I’ve been following this thread for almost two years now and It’s the main reason I finally made an account after years of lurking.

I bought a couple packs of PS a couple weeks back to support your awesome work, respect.

Curious to hear if any one else does or doesn’t dream when they’ve smoked?

I find if I’m smoking heavily/regularly I don’t remeber my dreams at all no matter which strain I partake of.
Hello @FTL!
Well I am happy you joined in, all welcome here! Looking forward to you Purpler Satellite grow experience!
CHEERS!
View attachment 19108609 View attachment 19108610 View attachment 19108611 View attachment 19108612 I don't spend much time on ICM, but I do drop in.
I am a lucky dude, as I get to try the goods grown by the master himself.
I have grown many Mulanje, GMG, Oaxaca, and a bunch of the precursors as well.

This year the OD grown GMG is the best version so far. The bud I purchased was Stinky of Grape.
Stunk up my car on the way home. Classic chunky sativa buds. I had been smoking Indica heavy Hybrids
and was no longer able to get really high as my resistance grew. The GMG blew thru that fog. Very Potent.
Really Up and Rushy Grapey POI no negatives at all. I always want to keep smoking more, it has that spirit.
Excellent morning high and there is no Let Down afterwards. Excellent euphoric effects. Normal forgetfulness.

I also got some of the Mountain Gold as well
Almost as potent as the GMG but the POI is more serious of a High. It has euphoria with an edge, like a Haze.
I went right for the headphones and played Hawkwind's Levitation album.
A good daytime herb in that there is no burnout, but im not smoking this and going to work in the kitchen. Too spacy.

A new version of Oaxaca was also available.
I do not know if seeds were made available yet, but it is also very potent, and more leaning towards the stoney effects. I have just started smoking it. So report not there.

A few years ago there was a standout Mulanje and these rival that memorable plant of "Pineapple Mulanje"
if i remember correctly.

Searching thru the Mulanje is a worthwhile venture. Its unusual that I don't have any growing at the moment.
Its been in my grow for many cycles. It can survive a summer in South Florida outdoors sans any Hurricanes.
Hey good buddy!
I did not recognize your handle but I certainly spotted the Blue Meanie mushrooms right off the bat! HAHA
Looking forward to another visit so I can hook you up with some Mulanje beans.
you too..never grown any of your stuff but you have a very good vibe bro...
Hello to you @Rgd!
That all cool! And I certainly appreciate the sentiment

Since i started smoking regular daily 24 years ago i also noticed that, also heard this from other smokers and growers. I think it depends how much and how late you consume before going to bed. Yesterday for example i only vaped some in the afternoon and then no more and had a pretty intense dream containing a lot of stuff.

Maybe you still dreaming when smoking but don't remember or does smoking really 'kills' the dreams, don't know!?

Hi @Mitsuharu , I have enjoyed seeing your window sill grows.

I think I do still dream but have no waking recollection of them as I do if I don’t smoke for a few days. Most people I have talked to say the same thing too. Probably why herb is so good for PTSD sufferers

Dreams at the start of a tolerance break I find are usually really lucid and out the gate kind of weird!

Heard this a few times - can't relate. I'm a heavy consumer, often I smoke a joint right before bed. And my dreams are intense and I can remember them next morning.
Hi, what kind of buds are you smoking? I’ve only just started smoking pure sat and not sure if it’s because I’m needing less or the type of bud.

I think it normally stops them because I don’t wake up drenched in sweat, often wondered if the brain is better at processing info during the day so doesn’t need to dream at night.

@vermontman sorry for the highjack, I was intrigued about your weed because one of the mg reviews earlier said it didn’t effect rem so wondering if it’s type dependant.
You loved the review, asked if you could use it and I think I’ve seen it used for a description on another site but can’t find it now.

Yes but I think there’s more to it than that, there was some interesting research on 911 attendees, all experienced the same stress but only those with clinical endocannabinoid deficiency developed ptsd. Makes me think the brain isn’t as good at processing trauma if it’s already cannabinoid deficient.

Great thread I came across a while back by @Creeperpark that you could be interested in :)

About the brain...recently, I found an article about a study done (in France?) with fibromyalgia patients. They did brain scans and compared the scans of the fibro folk and the control groups. They also compared those to the reports on symptoms. Seems that many of the fibro people had increased blood circulation in the pain receptor areas and decreased blood flow in the pain perception area. Of course, more study needed. And, of course, I cannot find the report, right now, so i hope that I explained the results correctly.

I have stated for years, that MMJ has helped me more than any of the other medical approaches that they/we tried out. Maybe there is something 'new' to try, since I quit looking to the mainstream medical community for relief, but just not worth the side affect risks with them. I may need to use some type of pharma, as the arthritis gains ground, but will hold off as long as possible.

As far as dreaming, that has not stopped, even through years of 'daily' use. What is noticed is the 'super clarity' of dreams when there is either a short break (due to travel, usually) or when starting back up again from those short breaks.

Another study that I would like to see, is a comparison of endocannabinoid receptors in adults who were bottle babies compared to those who were breast fed babies.

Fibromyalgia and arthritis are both autoimmune problems and symptomatic of clinical endocannabinoid deficiency, lectins trigger autoimmune disease.
I couldn’t walk because my knees were so bad but no pain at all since I changed my diet, my sisters fibromyalgia has gone since doing the same.

Gluten and avenin are the worst culprits, you can get an antibody/sensitivity test now but I went with total elimination and reintroducing everything one at a time, all lectins are different, I can’t have any except pressure cooked mash potatoes but my guts have stopped bleeding so I don’t mind much.

Can’t have any sugar peaches pears or apples either, cooked apples and pear’s are fine, not sure why. My sister is the same, it was sugar and lectins causing the problem but she can tolerate some lectins that I can’t. I don’t think she should have any that haven’t been through a pressure cooker, horrible things.

Are you smoking sativa?

I've been almost 100% gluten free for almost a year. Very very low carb diet and have lost about thirty pounds and the bloat is about gone. Guts are functioning better. Triglycerides used to be WAY out there, now they are in the medium 'okay' range. Spuds and beans, are out of the diet, sadly, as i really like them. About the only fruit that i eat are berries, and that isn't very often. We use the instantpot for many items. Potatoes were my gassiest food, WAY worse than beans, beans were very sludgy in the gut. Sugar is out.

I rarely smoke. Vaping with the box type and almost always a sativa dominant, rarely use anything that is under 50% sativa. Started using vape cartridges more, which i have a love/hate attitude toward (so bad for environment, plus the metals and whatever else.) So, do you find that sativa is better or worse for your family's symptoms?

Thanks so much for your response! Lots of stuff to consider.

no but if you smoke alot and stop you will get way more and heavier [and seemingly relevent ]dreams
They can be so much more 'clear' for me that they might seem like they are 'more important', but after scrutinizing, they seem to be just like most other dreams in content. I tend to have 'recurring' dreams, and tend to remember my dreams more than others that i've talked with about this. I imagine that if a person isn't 'used to' remembering dreams, the clarity could be quite a shock! My response sure isn't to say that everyone's brains work the same, nor their dream patterns.

Sorry about the derailed thread. I was wondering how the Purple Satellite would work for dry sift? Which of the GMSeeds offerings are most suited to dry sift?
