better to have weed and no money, because we could always sell a bit of weed to get by and of course we always needed to get high!

will get you through times with no money better than money will get you through times with no _____

Yes @vermontman that was something I heard often.

Reciprocation was a huge part of getting high in my life and experience.

My funny story is a bit winded but true

I recently reconnected with a high school classmate that often invited me to share his herb and vice versa. My sister moved back East and is staying with a friend temporarily and this classmate of mine was there doing some work. I texted my sister “ask him if he remembers that day we went to clean that pool after school and they had that wacky weed”

It was the first really powerful herb I can recall smoking. It seemed normal until it expanded in my lungs more than I’d experienced and without warning; I couldn’t hold it. I was no lightweight at the time (1974?)

Soon I had a brief problem catching my breath and my eyes teared up but then I started to recover and it had a very nice creep. Shortly I was really into the way the sunlight refracted in the water…….i don’t remember anything else that day.

He said “of course I remember, it was from Oaxaca and we got it from RA’s uncle who was from Mexico……..”

Just wanted to say I also enjoy the vibe here and am hoping everyone in the great state of Vermont is getting the help they need.

A word that was played out perhaps in my day but here I’ll use “righteous” to describe the humility and quiet strength of the comments here in support of @vermontman, his neighbors, and customers. I thought it was fitting to get some Oaxaca, Mountain Gold, and some of the Zacatecas tribute.

And I was gonna take a break and maybe travel a bit……

Hello @Airloom!
I love stories about the good old days! The seventies right on through were some amazing times of course inspired by by earlier artists, but we had the best music weed was more than just a commodity and friendships were based on trust and sharing times with clean cannabis landrace cannabis from all the sweet spots around the world. Like those beautiful gold Buddha in your avatar pic. I have thrived to keep these special one of a kind varieties through breeding at the latitude I am in, in the kinds of cannabis varieties that would reflect those days the best I can.
Being bowled over by all the modern day hybrids flooding the markets have left me a bit wary about the future for my work with my strains, so to see people appreciate them means to world to me like seeing one less animal go extinct at least for a while longer.
So thank you for your sharing of memories. If you are in the States Happy Thanks Giving to you and all and certainly great vibes to every one!

Hey wsbs, happy turkey day! I’m curious about your “labels” in the jars. Are those ribbons you’ve printed on? How did you do that?
