2 females 3 undecided. #5 not showing yet...fingers crossed. Placed 1 in flower yesterday. Waiting for some spots to open in the flower room for the others. I'll post the progress as things get interesting.

That sounds great!
I really am anticipating your grow. I find the best flowering light regime for these to be 11/13

GREEN MOUNTAIN GRAPE
Clones from earlier this summer at just three weeks along 12/12 and the air is filling with the fragrance of grape/fruit, just want to breath deep!
You can really see the Oaxacan moms influence in the spear shaped buds.
These self supporting ladies are going to be super easy to trim grapey meat on a stick.
I am extremely excited about this cross indoors and out! Finishing 8 to 9 weeks in and by mid to late Sept out at latitude 42 degrees North.

Just started vegging some zacateca tribute. They are growing nicely.

purple satelite weight ended up at 12oz for 2 plants under 220w of leds. Nice fruity smell. More uplifting and clear high.

Hello LE!
That sounds great! I really appreciate your feedback, honestly it is that, that keeps me going. I mean I just want to see people happy.
So thank you for your great read. Please keep us posted.
Warm regards

I just ordered some Zacateca Tribute and some Mountain Gold, so hopefully they make it to me. I'm very interested to try some more of these. And I do want to run Purple Satellite again too. I had two males last time and sadly did not save any pollen, but I did make some nice crosses as I probably mentioned earlier in this thread. I know I posted a bunch of pics in the Erdpurt thread... :)

So, by itself, how many weeks of flowering is the Oaxacan? I assume it is the Nepalese that is shortening flowering time in the PS? Or am I totally wrong?

Hey Tex!
Because I grow Oaxacan mostly outdoors until well into flower and finish off inside it's hard to say as if you would just cut light to cycle to 12/12 how many weeks, maybe 9.
But outdoors my Oax at 42N starts flowering first week into August and would finish by end of Sept to first week Oct. When I first started growing this Oax back in 1979 she would go well into second week Oct but over all they years of section for faster flower, mold resistance she now would finish outdoors end of Sept.
Oax has an unusual trait of really shortening flowering in crosses earlier than both of their parents.
For instance Baglung Nepali comes in by end of Sept but crossed with Oax {Purple Satellite} comes in from second to third week Sept. given lots of full all day sunshine.
When I crossed Purple Satellite with Cali purple Heirloom, Plants come in even faster than all three parents from end of Aug to third week Sept. I cannot explain why.
The Cali Purple does not finish on her own until end of Sept or longer.
Hope that answers your question.

Oh P.S. Mountain gold which I do anymore is Oax X Hawaiian Sativa the HA would not finish until, I would guess, Nov? But Mountain Gold finished for me outdoors by end of Sept. Again at Lat 42N and in all day sun.
And Zacatecas Tribute last season I pulled in Sept 24th because they were soaking wet and really beat looking from the rain and still gave a respectable harvest of wonderfully chunky frosty buds. And Big Sur Holy Mom would not come in till earliest Oct 7th.

Thank you for the excellent details. That is so interesting how there is a synergy there...so I wonder if using any of these Oaxacan hybrids might also shorten flowering times if crossed with other plants? My Erdpurt x PS was done by first week of September and I am in western MA at 42N also. Right down the road, literally. :)

I just popped two Zipolite Oaxacan from Bodhi and also have 4 new Red Snake seedlings (Oaxacan79 x Punto Rojo) from CBG, just switched to flower and not yet sexed. So hopefully I get some males and can make some seeds. I seem to be gravitating towards these Mexican lines.

You are most welcome Tex!
I would think crossing most things onto Purple satellite would bring down the flowering time. When would Erdpurt on its own finish for you?

Popped two zacateca tribute on Nov 17th. They were topped 5 days ago.

No sign of gender yet. Hoping for 1 of each. Jacks 3-2-1 method at 50% strength. They will receive 75% strength for christmas.
vermontman, they are on 18/6hr schedule. When do they start showing gender indoors?

happy holidays and roll them big as you can.

Hello Legal!
Its hard to say, if you had not topped them they would probably be showing signs by now going by their size, Whenever you top a plant it sets back the flowering somewhat. But I would guess they should be showing soon.
Fingers crossed for ladies!
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Good luck with your grow Legal, I’ll definitely be watching to see how these do.
I’ve noticed Males always smell a certain way to me and can be separated by that with success. Once they show flowers, really pay attention to the smell difference between the girls and boys. Males always have a distinct note to me that females don’t and so far I’ve always been right. Strong Hermie plants also have a “male” smell to me.
Now whenever I smell the “boy smell” I set them aside and watch them to be positive.

Thanks for the tip cactus. I have enjoyed the KA5H plants you harvested. Nice work.

No kidding Cactus? Must be Essence of Locker Room or something like that, hehe....I will have to try to see if I can discern any differences....if I ever get another male plant that is. :)
